Before I begin my pontification let me first direct your attention to The Speaker’s Word Congressional Article, where George Armstrong Custer covers my subject quite nicely.


Franklin Stone - Tin Hat Wearer Extraordinaire!

Currently my name is Franklin Stone, although for some gold I can change that; and in the name of full disclosure my other personas where Cold Hearted Snake, Dru Blood and Ichabod Adams/Drew Blood. Sometime back I wrote an article and virtually removed the mask of anonymity as Dru Blood for a brief look at The Man Behind the Mask. In that article I stated that I believed in Strength and Honor, that who you are in eRepublik is simply a reflection of your Real Life (RL) self; other words if you are amoral in game so shall ye be in reality.

When a citizen breaks the rules, rules they had a heavy hand in influencing; rules used against an Enemy of the State to censure them from Congress, those rules must be applied evenly across the board. When a long time citizen and Military Tank openly fraternized with the alliance to which our enemies belong, openly brags on the eUSA Forums that he only tanks for the United Kingdom; but btw he didn’t tank while President. So the question is when is enough actually enough, just how egregious must those offences become before a citizen is censured and declared an Enemy of the State.

Citizens have told me that my watch words are backwards, or that the first word should be ‘courage’ not strength or even that it should be reversed; but IMO without strength of conviction honor can be bought and sold for as little as fake gold in an online game. Without strength of conviction ‘courage’ to defend those convictions falters, eRepublik is a social role playing browser game where moral strength and honor do not exist; yet strength and honor are the only standards by which a citizen may be judged. How can America trust such a citizen who would so openly and boldly break the rules while thumbing his nose and crying out, ‘Nanny nanny booboo!’

If America learns nothing else from the disastrous Foreign Affairs of the governments dating back nearly 2 years, governments that led America to be yoked to the demands of Poland; America must learn that strength and honor is paramount. America is currently seen as weak and dishonest, American Politicians are seen as hypocritical and self serving; they persecute one citizen outside the ‘meta game’ as a traitor while pandering to a ‘metagaming’ citizen who is probably the greatest traitor in American History; Eugene Harlot is rolling over in his grave and Gaius Julius’ is running screaming down the street with his hair on fire.



Henry Pfeiffer Arundel, Traitor Extraordinaire?

Recently I created what some ‘metagamers’ consider trollish responses to Young Henry Pfeiffer Arundel, Protector of the Realm, etc...etc...and his return to America. For the new citizens to both eRepublik and America, Mr. Arundel is a Patriotic American ex President who has recently returned from his defection to The World Order (TWO) country of the United Kingdom (UK); Mr Arundel deserted America during the height of war with Poland, when his pocket book started to feel the effects of no bonuses and to evade American taxes; also since he is a commune for the USAF Ultramarine Division those companies no doubt are in a country with 10/10 bonuses. A Patriotic American doesn't leave when misfortune hits America; instead they whip out their ‘gold beast’ and they keep supplying their division with the weapons to continue fighting; not cut and run to the greener pastures of the UK and Woldy's Warrior's.

While Mr. Arundel was a citizen of the UK he became a member of the eRepublik UK Forums and became Party President of the United Kingdom Reform Party (UKRP). With the UKRP as a springboard Mr. Arundel became a member of the UK Parliament and IMO had aspirations to acquire the seat at 10 Downing Street; all while America was being wiped by a Poland/Spanish/Serbian coalition. Now Mr. Arundel feels entitled to return to America, so entitled that he refused to even fill out the immigration form; giving the following reasons in response and I quote Mr Arundel,

Paul didn't actually break any rules. The CIA, which as far as I've seen hasn't been disbanded, approved me. Clause 3 of the rules that are still posted (I assume you haven't amended them privately and not updated them) allows for the CIA to approve people in this manner. Sure, I have to be on some ATO 'master list' or whatever...and as I have no intention of seeking elective office, that matters not to me.

Not to mention that I've always considered myself (and been considered) an Ultramarine. To the extent that I've kept supplying quiet people in the unit from time to time when asked. My companies are always open for UM use, and I'll be taking on communers as needed. Clause 2 allows for expedited return of members of the military (I rejoined UM prior to gaining citizenship, for those who want to split hairs).

Oh, and then there's the fact that I'm me. Absolutely nobody can make a credible case for denying me citizenship that isn't solely based on their personal dislike of me. If that were a reason for rejecting citizenship approvals, well, there are a number of people that never would've been let back in over the years.

So, if you want to play RAH RAH RULES for the sake of doing it, feel free. There isn't any point, and in the end nothing will come of it.’

Damn, did I just buy a used car?

Mr Arundel has been accused of doing many other things, among them that he was instrumental in the American Government’s decision to abandon a group of Military Units (MU) collectively known as the eUS Military for a collection of MUs known as the United States Armed Forces (USAF) as the military to be funded by the government. The prosecution used the opening two statements as examples of Mr. Arundel’s actions, something that is fresh in everyone's minds; the prosecution will not debate the third other than to say the military future for America looks bright -but what might have been had we not switched and built up the eUS Military instead of starting from scratch.

Mr. Arundel blames all his woes on citizens who have a ‘personal dislike’ of him, I would agree with that statement totally; and well earned should be added. When he acts with total disregard for the very rules he expects the rest of America to follow, rules he approved of and were instituted at least in part by him. Why should any citizen, not just Mr. Arundel, be entitled to carte blanche citizenship? When a citizen joins a foreign MU why should they be allowed to return to an American MU? When a citizen, most especially a former President, joins the government of a enemy alliance why should the American Congress not censure him for treason?

I'm just saying,
