[Canadian Parliament] Elections
DMV3
November elections saw a small increase in turnout from October. With 272 votes cast in November compared to 267 cast in October that's a net gain to voter turnout of 1.8%.
This month's turnout caused some major gains for Coalition parties. IW saw their vote total increase from 42 to 46 yielding them 16.91% of the vote, increasing their seat total from 6 to 7. PFC saw their vote total increase from 37 to 49 bringing them 18.01% of the vote, this brought their seat total up 1 from 6 to 7. SUFFER saw their vote total creep up to 23 from 22 the month before. SUFFER brought in 8.46% of the vote and their seats remained unchange at 3. Coalition parties took 17 out of 40 Congressional seats giving them the largest plurality at 42.5% compared to 37.5% of seats last month.
MDP saw their vote total increase by 2 from 66 to 68 from October to November. The retained all 10 of their seats in Congress giving them 25% in Congress again this month.
CPF was the big loser in this election. They saw their vote total drop from 100 to 86. They brought in 31.62% of the vote and while still the largest constituency of any single party it is far below the 43.38% the Coalition received this election. CPF lost two seats in Parliament dropping from 15 to 13. This gives them 32.5% of the seats in Parliament compared to 37.5% last month.
One CPF party leader I talked to attributed the loss of votes to Dill being loud and obnoxious enough to scare voters away. Another CPF party leader suggested the loss of votes may have been CPF's apparent fixation on the Coalition instead of trying to campaign for voters to vote for their own party. Regardless of the reason for their decline one thing is apparent CPF has begun losing the faith of the voter base.

In before the butthurt!
Blatant attack of opportunity aside, I always like these type of day after election analysis.
My take... voter fatigue and the apparent energy shown by the coalition in the recent past. The key is what happens from now until the New Year. The coalition has to show that it can continue moving forward and building bridges to maintain momentum. Manufactured wedge issues will only get you so far.
I blame RICKY being put so high on the congress list. It made people not care to vote CPF since they knew I was going to get in anyways!
If being loud and obnoxious was a factor in turning voters away, how did you and your team of braying asses manage to swing any votes?
On of my anonymous Coalition sources credit your "victories" to cash bribes for votes. Another claims you offered sexual favors, and had the prescription crab medicine to prove it.
Also, lol @ shutterstock watermark on obvious Google-sourced article image. LRN2GIMP.
Could you not send him a link to the 1980's version of Paint.net you use for your articles you sexy beast?
You're also assuming i care about the pic, I don't.
I imagine dealing with the crabs is the more pressing concern.
Partly posturing aside, I'm sure there is an actual reason for the drop in CPF votes. I kept expecting them to make up the votes in the evening, but it never happened. Party lines are obviously set in stone around here, so it would be interesting to know what actually happened. I suspect we will never really know though.
My multies never got to vote 🙁
That would do it, lol.
Word. Thank you all for the votes. Now its time to put my no life to good use!
Way to swing for the fences and burn any goodwill your party might have generated. o7
Leave the new kid alone, Xander. He made a mistake, but the blame ultimately lies with me, not him. He pushed through cs passes before i had a chance to open our Caucus message.
who's the voter base? : (
I voted teh frogs...
So basically PFC gained some votes from the CPF and DMV is claiming credit.
All three coalition parties saw votes increase and two gained a sear and I'm not taking credit, I'm blaming Dill and CPF if you ever learned to read.
That's a pretty poor explanation. The outrage of a single member in the comments section of 1 article did not swing the election to the coalition, if anything you're actually selling your own messaging short if that's the explanation you're going with.
Auk, I'm trolling, let me do my job here please. 😉
Not a good way to win friends, just sayin'
J. Canuck isn't going to be my friend even if i don't troll him. :'(
I love your "anonymous sources" btw
My CPF sources are the best.
I know *wink*
SPAI!
Spai sappin man sentry
Well as I've stated previously, it's not a big deal. Congress doesn't do a whole lot anymore.
Except for going rogue. 😉
Spoken like a true loser, you downplay your lose. 😛
Well played coalition...
When you coming to join us Hugh?
...very soon 😛
I think the explanation is pretty clear to everyone. That Exalted Druid guy was not on the CPF list.
Perhaps the PFC was benefiting from dyslexic voters.
Really though, congrats on the strong showing.
CFP is so last month. If only there was a new, fresh party that wasn't overrun with ass kissers and ball lickers. Maybe if we named it after a well groomed, semi-aquatic rodent, people wouldn't need to suffer or put up a front or anything else that i don't feel like thinking about.
Screw erep anyway, right?
^__^
Congrats winners.
Who are these usurpers?
I'm still impressed that anyone even bothers to still vote.
Well done to all parties.
Your God.
Dio.
"...Dill being loud and obnoxious..."
This is earth shattering news?! 😃
