The Ranking That Matters 2.0
NoTie112
Some of you may recall the late citizen Walhallah, who fervently kept motivating our citizens to gain strength - and not necessarily XP - when the divisions where introduced. The good old times, where there was no Infantry Kit or Maverick Pack yet.
Evidently, The Ranking That Matters nowadays is the number of Legend ranks one has compared to other countries. On Day 4346 I posted an overview of the people with more than 180 000 strength and their respective ranks - which showed the significant lack of Legend Ranks. This matters, because each respective Legend rank gives a +10% bonus on damage done for our country!
First of all, the potential in the number of players has significantly increased; From 18 to 21 players above 180 000 strength. Furthermore, whereas we only had 4 people ranked Legend before, we now have significantly increased it to 10! This can be obviously attributed to the increased activity in our country, which for example led to new citizens joining the eNetherlands from abroad (i.e. Rainy Sunday & Ch4nce).
As the bonus of Legends increase with every further rank, the first few Legend ranks may not be so significant, however. It therefore is interesting to notice that a few of the mentioned people are 'high risers' (upward arrows), doing lots of damage every week and significantly increasing their rank points. For example, Jordic69, Rainy Sunday, Van Der Kaczy and 911mic are all relatively close to going from Legend 1 to 2.
It remains of utmost importance to remain vigilant about the relative lack of Legend-ranked people, however, and work towards improving it. The current trends are promising, but we must persist! With an increased stature of the Netherlands on the international stage, more battles in which our soldiers can improve - and occasionally actual 'tanking' may be necessary. Utilize these opportunities, if only to apply for our Ground Warfare program The Green Beret.

Very well written, except that it matters. The game is in a total dead end with these imbalances.
That is mostly the case yes. We can still make the best out of it (futile or not), for whatever that is worth. At least in the Netherlands it has somewhat paid off compared to our earlier state.
From the 20 people three or four has chance to reach legend XX in the foreseeable future depending on activity. If they reached legend XX the Netherlands will be strong (like UAE) and you don't need the other 16 because their damage will become neglible.
Every time I think what to do I realize I can't do anything because I have nausea from this game.
I also ranked 😕 where are my green arrows
Keep ketting stronger NL!
im going after rank God of War
currently at Supreme Marshal**
14 more ranks to go

Pro tip: focus on figthing in air battkes and ranking in the air. 🙂
why is that tho? i mean i'm only doing epic battles with ghost boosters 🙂
Epic battles are great for you to get some prestege points.
If you want to make a difference on the battlefield you can do so in air battles (because your strength is to low for you to make a difference in ground battles).
Day 4,489.
I still do not matter.
This new way of ranking our military potential surely has its benefits. But I personally think the old way of measuring with X/S is not completely irrelevant. Surely the mechanics have changed to a pay to win system, but still, not everyone is able/willing to spend money on eRep, and in those cases it is still raw strength that counts on the battlefield.
It is of course hard to find a balance between these two ranking systems (if not impossible). So I guess that this new system with Legend Ranks is great, as long as you keep in mind not to go too extreme if you are not able/willing to spend money on the game.
Taking Weekstrom as an example (Legend XVIII at the moment) - ground damage with Q7 weapon (without any boosters or other bonuses)
399,791 per hit in normal battles
1,119,415 per hit in Dutch battles.
So for one fully leveled Legend, you need three non-legendary soldiers of the same strength to keep up with. Assuming naturally, that the Legend was unable to use it's higher damage to farm better beforehand - otherwise you need even more soldiers to keep up with him.
Naturally, none of this counts in the air or in foreign battles, and for people without Legend ranks, Strength will still be the only relevant benefactor. But we should strive for all of us to aim for Legendary rank eventually, especially if one has Strength over 200k - especially during events. When the "Anniversary event" was going on, I managed to double the amount of my military rankpoints just during that one month and therefore rank up from Titan* to Titan**. Without spending a single cent to do so, and with Strength of lousy 150k. If I could do it, others with similar of better Strength could do it as well.
