[MoD] The (Updated) Green Beret

Dear citizens,

The Green Beret Program was initiated to promote the (few) land fighters we had back then, in an effort to raise their ranks. The initial eligibility limit of doing 1 billion of damage a week was even lowered to 500 million, as the situation (unlike in the air) was quite dire in the eNetherlands. As Weekstrom has attested in his recent awesome article, things are much better now in that regard. Equally a game-changer, the recent Anniversary Event showed, perhaps for the first time, the eNetherlands en masse profiting in the game from the extra fighting potential which the Program was not accounted for. All in all, enough reason to review and improve the Green Beret!


Therefore, several changes will be implemented from next week on. We want to more selectively help those active land fighters, that also have the realistic potential to acquire Legend ranks in the short to mid term. By the seemingly more restrictive eligibility terms, we will be able to reward those that do fit more royally - as land fighting is an expensive activity, after all. Similarly, not much unlike the exclusion of Group Captains in ''The Flying Dutchman'', higher ranked Legends will not be eligible any more, as they have ample opportunity to fight for less expenses (and sometimes ''for free'').

The Rules*
As The Green Beret is a work in progress, some of these rules will progressively increase. For example, the construction of new Q7 Communes will allow (more) full payment in Q7.

Eligible Citizens
* Dutch soldiers having at least 125 000 strength + Titan rank are eligible for the Green Beret Program.
* Dutch soldiers not having reached (Dutch) V Legend ranks are eligible for the Green Beret Program.
* Dutch soldiers need to do at least 1 billion in damage during the previous week to receive rewards.

Payment
* The weekly payment is based on 1 billion = 3000 cc or an equivalent in Q7 tanks.
* Payment is switched per week in Q7 and cc.
* The ''damage cap'' is set at 10 billion.
* Rank Rewards: Every Titan rank gets 100 Q7, first Legend rank 250 Q7 and every next Legend rank 200Q7.


How To Do Damage
Some may feel the prospect of doing 1 billion a week is a pipe-dream, but fear not! Even without packs and very high ranks, one can easily do such an amount of damage. At Week Change, try to spend and perhaps some Energy Bars on the first epic battle. This grants you more energy recovery and energy bars later on in the week. Also, the time to use those shadow boosters and 50/100% ones! Additionally, we stress Dutch soldiers to use a browser plug-in that automatically eats food (or more advance😛 does hits for you). We recommend the use of ''eRepublik Stuff++''. Never lose unnecessary fighting potential again!

Clarification on Event Damage
During events that give a lot of ''free'' damage, the Government retains the right to temporarily adjust the amount of payment - in principle to not overspend and reward those that really made the most of such occurrences despite all the freebies.
