OK, so I'm in Congress this month, and it's been a bit of a headache so far.
Sven Goran Herp-Derp proposed some stuff about changing how we choose our Speaker, and then didn't show up to vote. All of his proposals failed, by the way. The party pushing them, New Era, had 30% turnout for the vote. The Speaker, Kravenn, wrote about that here. So read that.

Some rogue NE proposals, MPPs, etc. Nothing super exciting except that we signed an MPP with Argentina, which is new since they used an Airstrike on us to get a baby boom during the anniversary of the Falklands War.
I proposed the re-institution of the Honours System. It would be nice to be able to properly recognize our hardest working citizens with appointment to the Order of the eBritish Empire, yea? That discussion is ongoing, feel free to pop by. The highlights are thus:
1. Each Top 5 party will send a representative to the committee
2. The Prime Minister will be on the committee
3. King Woldy will be the non-voting Chairman of the committee
4. The PM may propose one person for an honour as they leave office
5. Each committee member may make nominations for honours
6. A maximum of three honours will be issued each month, not counting the leaving honour from the PM
An additional point is that anyone who maxes out on honours (Grand Cross) will be added to the committee...but to date we've never issued one of those, and it's very unlikely we ever will.
So, I'd encourage you to stop by the forum and discuss this with us - here. I've set it in public discussion, so any and all input is welcome.
Other than that, we're talking about a few other things at the moment, but nothing far enough along to be worth commenting on.

ingame is mostly closed too. In fact, I would argue moreso than the forums.

The forum is dead stop trying to flog a dead horse, keep role playing my friend cos you're just a bunch of knobs making up made up role playing laws, the thing is , everyone needs accept you're role play or it hold's no weight, people can just ignore you forum junkies with ease.
Nobody is forced to accept the role playing, so don't make a big fuss about it if you want to ignore it. We are not even forcing people to read this article.

Kravenn broke the rules of his own Speaker Act by deciding when to have the vote at a time of his choosing.
When most New Era congressmen were off and when his lot were on.
Hence the low turnout. He probably gave his supporters more notice of when the vote would be too (considering he gave us about 5 mins).
As for when the vote happened, funny you should mention it, but it happened about 3 and half days after the proposals were submitted.
The Speaker Act states there must be a max of 48 hours of discussion followed by concurrent vote. This did not happen. The vote was a fix.
Hence it is invalid in my book 🙂
Your book is irrelevant, the vote wasn't a 'fix', and technically your proposal wasn't done properly...if you want to get into semantics. Everyone was given notice of the vote at the same time, and given the same 24 hours to vote.
If you can't be bothered to log in ONCE A DAY, don't run for Congress. Or anything else for that matter.

This is the same argument new era always makes about the speaker role we weren't notified with enough time or we weren't around.You guys want all these roles but you show time and time again that you guys aren't around enough to make quick decisions that would be very dangerous in a game where things can change in minutes.
