Outside our blessed island

Day 648, 08:05 Published in Austria Austria by Borojevic von Bonjar

After it seemed that PEACE was on the way to total hegemony, there have been some major setbacks in the war against FORTIS during this week.

USA and Canada back on track?

Only less than a week after nearly being whipped off the map, President Emericks government seems to have found back the will to fight. On the beginning of the week, the US Forces began push back PEACE. After first achievements versus Indonesia in the south, US-President Emerick and the President of Portugal, Raikael have signed a peace treaty yesterday, allowing the US to regain most of the East Coast, for total payments of only 500 Gold and a six months lasting non-aggression pact.
Shortly after, Emerick proclaimed the Confederate States of America, also changing the flag. Currently there are wars raging in six (former) US-States, most of them in favour of the US and Canada. Still only 12 of previously 51 provinces are under US control. Nevertheless, their economic situation might be improving, due to the conquest of two high-oil provinces, Texas and Louisiana and the high-wood province Tennessee.
Also Canada has managed, thanks to resistance wars, to regain a bunch of their provinces, conquering nearly all of the French territories in America. Among them are high-grain, wood and oil regions.

Spanish Reconquista

Meanwhile baby-booming France has biggest problems to prevent the Spanish uprising. Spain, which was already crushed down and totally conquered last week, has managed to get back seven of their total of 15 regions. Currently they are trying to encircle Madrid by attacking Castilla la Mancha (The battle is right now in favour of Spain). But a major problem of the Spanish resistance force should be the fact, that they are still having no single hospital under their controlled. Also the simple numbers should be a bit disencouraging: 1.404 Spanish vs. 25.535 French citizens.
