Greetings,

There is a few subjects that need to be addressed in this communique. However I'll begin with the two most recent ones.

This is the official statement of Bulgarian government in regards to the
"friendship pact" announced today by Ukraine:

Bulgaria is surprised by the actions of a country it has regarded as one of it's closest allies for the past 2 years, has helped to liberate it, even at the price of it's own liberty, on multiple occasions and has cooperated with in multiple alliances, through thick and thin, good times and bad alike.

We do not understand the reason why Ukraine has felt the need to initiate and make a defensive pact with a trial member of EDEN as well as a country, which while officially neutral, has non the less been an ally to TEDEN countries for over an year. Furthermore it is no secret that Bulgaria has differences with Turkey (the trial member country) and thus this defense pact which is in addition to EDEN and more then Ukraine currently has with Bulgaria, with a country which Bulgaria fought not too long ago to free Ukraine from, can be regarded as a slap in the face.

Thus, we're left with no choice but to officially protest this action and as a consequence, Bulgarian government will propose to congress to suspend the MPP between the two countries until such a time that relations have normalized, as well as the immediate return of Bukovina.

In addition, there has been a lot of speculation and half-truths been circulated about mutual relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine. In an attempt to clear those, Bulgarian foreign ministry will publish a more in-depth article concerning all matters of the past few months in Ukraine.

Second topic is concerning an offer initiated by Bulgarian president in an good faith effort to seek a lowering of tensions with Turkey.

A proposal was made with which, Turkey would have given Bulgaria a route to Asia where in separate deals with China and India it would have gained additional resources as well as avenues to wage war on different opponents.

In return, Bulgarian was going to present and support a 1 time MPP with Turkey and present a case for holding a new referendum on their membership in the new circumstances. Without presenting guarantees for what Bulgarian citizens may decide such a show of good faith would have gone a long way towards defusing the escalating problem.

A few hours ago, after consulting with the commanders of Turkish MUs, the president of Turkey officially rejected the offer.

In addition I would like to say a couple of things in regards to the last few days and the political games that have erupted in Bulgarian congress.

Many of you have noticed I'm sure that there have been a few NE proposals on Bulgaria side towards Turkey, closely matched to begin with by Turkish side. For the record the first such NE was from Turkish side 2 weeks prior, but it was dismissed as being "troll" or politically inspired and thus Bulgaria did not make a deal out of it.

The recent NE laws, have been the reflection of internal political instability and difference in opinion on the current issue and did not reflect the official position of the government or Bulgaria as a whole. Without going into great details, I'll say that the result has been the one and only that Bulgaria has earned a reputation for and that is to uphold it's international obligations even in times of internal political instability.

Same applies to the MPP proposed by Bulgarian president with Poland, while rash the decision was aimed at demonstrating the folly of their actions to the people in the congress of Bulgaria, for which Bulgaria has extended it's official apologies to Russia. Needless to say, Russia has, is and remains one of our closest allies.

I'll finish by saying, that all speculations, about deals and negotiations with Serbia, Poland or other ONE countries are just that speculations, which are not based on any truth or credibility and should not be trusted.

Bulgaria has made it clear, to all, including countries it is in opposition to at the moment, that as long as ONE and EDEN exist and oppose each other, ONE cannot be an alternative for Bulgaria and it remains committed to EDEN, hence why we've initiated a process to reform the alliance. Unfortunately that process is not meeting almost any support from the CPs of member states, as most have not found it necessary to even respond to the personal messages circulated with the proposal. Nevertheless we will continue to attempt as the stubborn Bulgarians we're to fix the obvious flaws within the alliance.
