Germ's Swede's and Congress.

Day 551, 07:04 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy
Sweden and Germany
After Germany lost a few consecutive battles to Poland and Sweden the initial stages of the war are looking grim for the Germans. This, possibly because Sweden has rallied a lot of support, countries like Romania and Poland are backing them. Although Germany has had its MPP’s activated, many of the countries that can now help them are taking a neutral stance, for example, the USA and the UK. This means the amount of people fighting for the Germans is relatively a lot lower.

During the battle for Schleswig-Holstein, I was looking at the figures of the number of people online. At one point during the battle, there was 167 Swede’s online. Which is quite a lot, (compared the UK having usually around 40-45 people online at once) at the same time, Germany had only 18 people online. This apparent lack of manpower and obvious lack of foreign aid is what is causing Germany to lose this war. Surprisingly, during the battle for Schleswig-Holstein, the German elite soldiers did not fight. According to recent articles, they were reported by Swede’s and banned for the duration of the battle. It is, however, uncertain over the validity of this reason, or if they were absent for some other reason.

Sweden continues using the fact that Germany’s trial period in ATLANTIS was over when they attacked means that people shouldn’t care about Germany. To me, it seems that ATLANTIS was waiting for a vote on wether or not they could get a permanent membership, even if this isn’t the case, I am still ashamed that Sweden would attack Germany, a country which has been trying to mend bridges with Sweden, and ultimately, regardless of its membership in ATLANTIS was a friend of Sweden, the UK, the USA, Romania, Poland, and other ATLANTIS countries. I pointed out to a Swede the other day, that although Sweden’s alliance with Germany may not have been de jure, it certainly had a de facto alliance with ATLANTIS.

Although personally I and many others support Germany, it is still very unclear as to who is the guilty party in this war.

Congress!
Tomorrow see’s another set of Congressional elections. There are many very good candidates (as always) and this is also true for my own region, the East Midlands. Naturally, I am running again this month, you can see my manifesto here;

If you are unsure as to what exactly Congress is, or how to vote, I made a guide to congress that runs with my (ever successful) beginners guide to e-Republik. The Guide to congress can be found here;

I have been working with the CSCP, a small party of friendly, intelligent people. Their Leader LewisE has said anybody who wants to vote for me but does not live in the EM can join the CSCP and will recieve a moving ticket. A very generous gesture.

Jobs
As I have mentioned before, I am becoming slightly concerned with people messaging me with complaints over not being able to find a skill 0 job. Although I always ensure people that the problem is fleeting, and to check the job market a bit later on, I fear it may cause inactivity in people who I don’t manage to get in contact with. I try to message as many new player’s as I can, but I can only cast a comparatively small net.

As a final note, I would like to thank the subscribers of the People’s Gazette, we are drawing ever closer to a position in the top 10 spot, so keep reading 😉
