PotUS – Week 1 Update
Joey3790

If you haven’t seen it yet, President/Dictatress Melissa Rose has released an article about the first week of her term.

In her article she describes the first few days like this: “I have been told the first few days of any term are going to be slow as you work through transition. This wasn’t the case this term, the transition was seamless. My CoS Jaden A. and my entire Cabinet transitioned into their roles like pros and for that I am very thankful.”

Things did seem to transition very smoothly. If the first week went like this, then that might be a good sign that the whole term will go well this month. Guess only time will tell.

Welcome to Pacifica Greece!
Kalos Hoenn

As in time we’ve come to see countless countries join and leave alliances, however, today we rejoice of a new ally and friend within the Pacifica Community. Greece joined Pacifica after it’s long awaited time being away from an alliance, it’s last being Asteria, ending with a brief stay. Nonetheless, a new beginning clearly revolves around starting new ties, while ending old knots. Current United States President Melissa Rose says “I am very excited to have Greece join Pacifica.” Pacifica is formed by the United States of America and Russia with a mutual protection while aiming to secure their allies in a dominant position within the e-World.

Greece’s representative for Pacifica and new Deputy Secretary General of Pacifica shootme2000 alongside Sweden MoFA jontexd made a couple of remarks after a few days of celebrating Greece’s entrance in Pacifica. “My thoughts for Greece are common with Pacifica's plan to succeed.” shootme2000 says. While jontexd added, “Communication is key.” Sweden’s MoFA continued by mentioning that Pacifica’s members have finally broken the ice with one another and have begun working collaboratively. “Greece will be an important member since they are a great addition damage-wise…. but I think the important part is that the members are getting along to ensure that Pacifica is providing good support.”

Shootme2000 commented, “However a common notion of... aim is to make the game interesting again for my fellow citizens... with Pacifica's support.”

Melissa Rose tells the overall vision of Pacifica having a new ally and friend as Pacifica growing stronger as it benefits all of the countries in the alliance. “I see great things in store for Pacifica and I'm happy to welcome Greece,” said the eUS PoTUS as she wraps up our conversation.

When asked about their favorite color and cookie, shootme2000 quickly sai😛 “It’s a papadopoulou chocolate biscuit...favorite colors are blue, red, and deep green.” Jontexd assured me that he enjoys eating “a common pastry in Sweden called Singoalla - a cookie with raspberry and vanilla filling” while adding that his “favorite color is green.” Isn't that delicious? Here is a picture of a Singoalla below if you happen to wonder what it looks like.

The welcoming of Greece has sparked a new fire in their country and a new challenge to overcome obstacles with their new allies. Only time can tell where this new friendship and pledge may lead to.

Hail Greece!
Hail Pacifica!
Hail an Owl for a ride…
Hail a Taxi!
Hail Cookies!
Hail Colors!

All About Q1 Houses
Ilene Dover

Today, we will explain one aspect of a fundamental part of the game - how to make money for nothing. For those of you who have not yet realized, a Q1 house is an investment that can make you money. All we have to do is some basic maths.

The most important thing to realize is that each house you activate earns you something called an overtime ticket. You get one every hour and they don't expire. Collect 24 tickets and you can work an extra shift. No penalty rates, just your base salary…

To see if buying a house is a good idea or not we need to do some research. Firstly, and just like the real world, it is important to know how much money you make. You can see your current employment salary (pre-tax) under My Companies.

Next, again just like the real world, we need to know how much a house is going to set you back. Completely unlike the real world, a bank is not waiting in the wings to sell you into middle class slavery for 30 years - you're going to need the cash up front. You can find what a house is worth by clicking through the Marketplace screens. I'll assume you can do that - if you can't then please post in the comments below and we’ll talk you through it.

Now, a house lasts for seven days. Some simple maths tells us that if our net salary (that is, salary after tax) multiplied by 7 is greater than the price of a house, well, you win.

Oh, and just in case you weren't convinced, you get 50 extra energy thrown into the bargain. Look how much energy centers cost to buy, and see if you can find the better value product!

Notes from the Editor:
Keep Up the Great Work
Joey3790

Thanks to everyone for the fantastic support showed for the first WHPR of the April Presidential term. It was an interesting experience for me to publish something like this on such a scale and short time frame. Guess what, I just did it again. Hopefully everyone enjoyed this issue as well as the last. We’ve gotten off to a get start, but getting started is only half the journey. The hard part is keeping it up. That is our goal for this month in the Media Department. In fact, I had a poster of it put up in the Media Room. Thanks for your hard work Team!

Speaking of hard workers, I want to make a special shout-out to our very own Press Secretary Aramec. He’s done an excellent job writing the Daily Press Briefings and has tirelessly updated us on what the President and Cabinet are doing from day to day. Anyway, I heard of his tragic ordeal the other day and decided to visit him in the hospital today. I brought him some roses, as those are the only flowers allowed into the country this month. As I rounded the corner and peered into his room, I saw our beloved Press Secretary wrapped head-to-foot in a full body cast. There were roses glued to him and a few signatures on his arms and legs. They had him propped up to a computer, with a “Keep Typing” poster pinned to the wall behind it. He was more than happy to see me. “How are you feeling Buddy?” I wasn’t sure if he was crying out of the joy of seeing me or from the pain. Before I could say anything else, he said “Quick, give me Israel’s gift basket!” I saw a basket on the table and looked inside. There was a bottle of Jack Daniels connected to an IV line. “Hook me up Bruh. Take me out of this torture.” I switched out the IV and a calm seemed to set in. ”Thanks bro, just what I needed.” Just then an alarm on the computer sounded and a voice clearly commanded “Keep typing!”. His fingers being the only parts he could move, Aramec frantically started typing. “It was nice seeing you Aramec…” was the only thing I could say before the nurses rushed me out of his room. Keep up the great work and get well soon!

Thanks for reading!

Sincerely,

Your Media Team,
