[The] Christmas Appreciation 2012: To my Lovelies

Christmas: a time of giving, a time of thanks, a time of sharing, a time of traditions, a time of treasures.

Music Pick: Christmas Lights - Coldplay

One of my family Christmas traditions is a Christmas dinner with two other close families. Besides this annual dinner, my family gave up on a few other Christmas norms--
- We "gave up" decorating our Christmas tree once our laziness surpassed our will to keep up with the tradition. Being the youngest in my house, I had the most will to keep the tradition going, but as we grew up, my family and I got busy with other things and the tree didn't seem as important.
- We also "gave up" taking the tree down right after the season was over. I'm fairly certain we've managed to leave it up til March at least once. Of course we had a fake tree-- otherwise we'd be screwed.
- We "gave up" exchanging gifts with the other two families during our annual Christmas dinner when we realized no one got the kids anything they really liked. It ended up being a waste of money and a source of added stress, especially when we know we wish each other the best regardless of how useless the gift we got. Honestly, I don't remember any of these gifts that I received. Obviously I didn't treasure the gifts as much as the company.

But one thing I treasure every year is the time we spend together during this season, especially the dinner. These Christmas dinners are a tradition I intend to keep. Even though it's very similar every year, every year I enjoy it. I get to see how everyone is doing, how everyone has grown, listen to stories, memories and dreams. And great food always makes any event better. (;

For my eRep Christmas, I'm not gonna be a Santa and give a ton of gifts. Instead, I'm writing this article, a letter to some of my Lovelies that made my year what it was. I'm not counting it as a tradition, not yet at least because 1 year is a long commitment to keep playing this game, but who knows? I have been playing for almost 4 years now...

You might be able to guess who "my Lovelies" are... might be obvious, I don't think it's hard if you know them. At the very least the Lovelies themselves should know who they are.

To my lovely Heart,
I forgot who said it first, whether it's me or you, I have your heart. Now, you're one of my Lovelies and one of my 'mons, I know you'd appreciate this. But I want you to know I really appreciate your genuine and whole-hearted support throughout my endeavours-- past, present and future. I know you'll continue to be there to cheer me on and to cheer me up. I am grateful for your friendship. (:

To my lovely Soul,
"Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything." I'm glad we could share music, thoughts, frustrations, and frights, no matter how serious or trivial they are. Thanks for the laughs and the care.
The year wouldn't be the same without you. Thanks for always being there (:
Yes, there's another one of my silly backward smiley. (;

To my lovely Lost,
It's great getting to know you. I think I know too much about you... Regardless I'm glad to know you outside of eRep. Things have been tough, but 'tis great to share some smiles. Take care, cher. And I know you'll take good care of Keeper. Merry Christmas, cher. (:

To my lovely Returned,
I've missed you dearly, you asshole, and you know it. (;
You gave me plenty of laughs, support, and kicks in the right direction. I don't know how I came to stand you, but I can and it's awesome. You're "a good friend who sometimes pisses me off and that's half a emarriage". Those are your words, not mine if you recall, hahaha. I love teasing you, though sometimes I cross the line, well you do too, but at the end of the day, we're cool with it. You should know by now that I like the attention. Merry Christmas, you ass ;P
Heh... I guess you could also be "my lovely Ass" Bahahahaa xD

To my Lovelies,
Thanks
for the year
for the time
for the moments

Merry Christmas everyone! especially to my Lovelies.
