Plans and Stuff
So as it stands, although we escaped a wipe with the sin of our teeth, we have 'engaged in a TW' with Slovenia, and we have a treasury looking a little bit sorry for itself but it could be worse. All in all its been a bit of a tester for the eUK over the past few months. One of my main aim's for this term is to engage the government more with the community and keep the spirits high. To help ensure this I have brought in Addaway as my vCP wingman for this month. Plans are still being drawn up as we speak but just putting some out there.
Governmental Structure
There have been rumblings of the status quo in government recently, and rightly or wrongly so. One thing's for sure it would be nice to have a batch of fresh blood learning the ropes on how the gov works and operates in the community and with foreign affairs. After speaking with Addaway about his take on reforming the government we are going to trial his reform strategy next month to bring newer less experience players to the table. You can read his full plans HERE
State of the Media
Enough articles have been released lately to stress that our eUK media module hasn't been doing too well lately. In a bid to get the media module back up to speed, writing competitions will be introduced with various prizes up for grabs over the course of the month.
Defence/Foreign
So that Slovenian TW hey? All in all it could have been worse, we have a couple of regions secured. Though on the other hand a healthy TW can still be achieved without restricting us down to a bare couple of regions *pending final negotiations from AMD*. (if the TW agreement is still in place next term) negotiations will quickly be started to try and get regions returned and the TW closed. If the opportunity presents itself next month with a bit of luck we may be able to go on holiday in the form of an AS, but one step at a time first. More domestically, plans for Call to Arms articles and National Strike days will still be continuing and hopefully more frequently. Gives us a chance to work more as a community in battles and also better co-ordinate damage. SAS pm's will also be back in place.
International news services will also be looking to continue on into the new term. Having insight into what our allies and enemies are getting up to during the term is a valuable, informative resource to maintain. Any time important foreign articles appear these will also be fed back to the eUK community to keep you all in the loop.
So just a few things I aim to line up going into the new term, cabinet positions are still available for anyone wanting to join the cause! Just drop me a message.
Yours,
Garth Lidlington M.D.

WOOOOOO I see a theme in last months and this months gifs
I love it when a plan comes together.
"One of my main aim's for this term is to engage the government more with the community and keep the spirits high. To help ensure this I have brought in Addaway as my vCP wingman for this month."
Keep spirits high? Addaway? What?
"One thing's for sure it would be nice to have a batch of fresh blood learning the ropes on how the gov works and operates in the community and with foreign affairs."
I passed the questionnaire summaries to government but can't remember if I passed the list of people who said they would like to get involved. If you want the list when (if) you are elected you can ask me for it, there are quite a lot of people on there who don't normally have a government position.
"writing competitions will be introduced with various prizes up for grabs over the course of the month."
The competition (these things have been done in the past) will have little effect unless there is a big prize of, let's say, 10kcc or more. And the competition will only see maybe 5 more articles than usual, and this effect will last for about 3 days from the announcement of the competition. A greater prize or the eUK doing something crazy would inspire more articles, but the main problem is people simply can't be bothered to do articles. You would be looking to 'pay' over 100kcc in prizes to keep a constant community media presence throughout the term, and it would be easier to just get ministers to do more articles. This probably won't even solve the problem.
"International news services will also be looking to continue on into the new term."
"Any time important foreign articles appear these will also be fed back to the eUK community to keep you all in the loop."
It will happen for about 5 days then the ministers will give up, too much effort unless you get 15 apprentices to each do one of these articles.
But your military ideas are solid enough and getting Addaway's reform ideas into action will be a good push in the right direction.
"Keep spirits high? Addaway? What" is love?
Taking the points on board, ill have a think about the home affairs plans tomorrow.
My advice would be to get some home affairs people to do a "template article" in the first few days so that they can reuse the same article but maybe change a few sentences and an image each week. I think the MoD does something like that and I recently made one for the NHS but it hasn't been used. Might not be workable for everything but could work for things like showing the latest media articles or a regular competition. Poking someone and telling them to write a few sentences is better than telling them to do an article every 3-4 days.
Can't see how you won't win this election, your work has been really good this term.
