Καλό μήνα και καλό καλοκαίρι!

Εδώ είναι μια μικρή copy/paste ανταπόκριση για όποιον ενδιαφέρεται να μάθει, από το τι λένε στα άρθρα του τα στελέχη του κοινοβουλίου και της κυβέρνησης των ΗΠΑ σχετικά με την αποχώρησή τους από την συμμαχία Sirius. Έχω αντιγράψει μόνο ένα μικρό κομμάτι, πατήστε πάνω στον τίτλο για να διαβάσετε το άρθρο.

As the USA NAP with Argentina went public, Spain threw a fit and their reps quit the alliance channels. This was followed by Spaniards starting a vote in their meta-Congress to leave Sirius - a vote that passed. To prevent Spain from leaving, Sirius SG Iain Keers (with support from member countries) voted to remove USA from the alliance instead. It was made clear to everyone that if Spain left, Poland and the UK would leave with them, and any recognizable form of ‘Sirius’ after that would be lost.

In the last five months I've served as Secretary of State once and as a Deputy in State twice. I have also served as Secretary of Homeland Security a few times. I say this not to inflate my own importance, but to emphasize that I have seen first hand the amount of effort put into foreign policy. For months countless hours have been poured into trying to make things work on the international stage. In spite of this the stresses continued to grow until a breaking point was reached. An ultimatum was issued. A choice had to be made: risk wipe for an alliance we were no longer sure had our best interests at heart, or look to protect our nation.
