War and Diplomacy in eRepublik

Day 2,914, 14:23 Published in Romania Romania by Raul Doru

Hello again dear readers!

In my previous article, we were talking about the status quo situation between Greece, Bulgaria and Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and I was telling that things could well evolve to a cold war.
It seems that there some truth in that, because yesterday we've had an exchange of NE laws between those 3 countries. All law proposals were rejected, but still. Cold war it is...

In the next days, we will see if the situation gets warmer...

Another open conflict we were talking about in my last article, was that between USA and Indonesia. After the first attack on Jayapura region, US was stopped by the fierce Indonesian resistance. More detailed on this battle, you can find in the newspaper of the Prime Minister and acting President of eIndonesia, Demon War:

In the same newspaper, we can read an article about vacuum of power in Indonesia (their president or prime minister (?!) has resign because of, as I understood, some RL problems). Nonetheless, Indonesia is prepared to wage war on US soil:

But a surprise, and not a pleasant one, has just appear: Columbia has proposed a NE law against Indonesia (forced now to fight on 2 fronts). In the next days, we will see if they have the power to resist in both battles...

In the past days, the situation in South America was very agitated on diplomatic and military field.
First, a couple of days ago, there was a Dictatorial coup attempt in Uruguay. They've blamed Bolivia, then former President of Uruguay and finally some Argentinian players, but in the end Democracy prevailed.

From an article published in the official newspaper of Mexican Government, we can take notice about the negotiations for a NAP between Mexico and Argentina. Short version is that the Mexicans proposed the provisions for an agreement and Argentinian leader has agreed in the first stance. After that it seems that there were some financial disagreements, based by the mistrust of Argentinian side in the capacity of Mexico to respect its obligations (during the next 3 months of the pact's validity) so the NAP was rejected.

In the meantime, Argentina is continuing the conquest of Spain.

On the same continent, a NAP was signed between Peru and Venezuela. It seems that following this agreement, Peru will release the occupied Venezuelan territories.

Regarding Brazil, the current Brazilian Dictator and President, Sir Greg is telling in an interview that his country's plans are to establish a colony in Europe and to increase its bonuses. He must be aware of the fact that Europe is quite crowded in this very moment and he can trespass other interests in the region. Which can not be necessarily a bad thing.

Not the last, Chile wants to get involved in the region and is searching for a suitable target which appears to be a little hard to find. After a rejected NE law against Peru, Chile is voting now a Natural Enemy law against Argentina. It seems that it won't pass but things could have became again interesting in South America...

In Europe, thanks to Croatian and Greek courtesy, the hottest situation is in Slovenia. They are fighting in 4 Resistance Wars in the same time (against Croatia, Italy, Switzerland and Austria).

As if this was not enough, Austria and Switzerland have proposed NE laws against Slovenia. In response, Slovenia is voting a Natural Enemy law on Switzerland.

Today we've witnessed even an other kind of incident, with the Slovenian tank and Minister of Defence, Tittanos, having an angry outburst towards Romanian players. Even if I don't know the exact details, it seems that there were several Romanian players fighting against Slovenia for COs and/or FF medals. Tittanos threaten that he will not fight for Romania in the future, but I just hope that it was only an angry talk and he didn't really meant it.

In the end, I would like to draw your attention on an initiative in Croatia. For a better coordination of their soldiers, Croatian MU commanders decided to gather all their soldiers in one big Military Unit, ZBOR NARODNE GARDE - ZNG, with Zdlemmy as Commander.
