I'm debuting with my newspaper in Israel. I will post a series of articles about reviving our economy.

Israel's Economy is Underperforming
2 days ago the Minister of Education came out with a report on the Kosher Stores Program. This report was very insightful because it included an analysis of the current market of Israel.

Shockingly we could learn that significant portion of the goods and products on sale in Israel are foreign import. At first glance you can be glad that we have supply of cheap goods and that is good for the people, however when you look at it again you can start wondering where are the money of the consumers are going. A small fragment of it stays with the government through the taxes: 1% value-added tax + 1-8% import tariff. Well under 10%. The rest of the money leaves the country!

According to the mentioned analysis, you need to check and search before buying anything. Otherwise you are supporting some other cuntry.

This seem to be a bit populist but the purchase of each locally produced food or weapon contributes to the salary of a local worker. A paid Israeli worker can buy local, buy weapons, fight better and most importantly a paid Israeli employer will most likely stay in Israel.

We are a small country, we need to look out for each other. Take time to evalutate before buying and buy Israeli.

Be a conscious consumer and help revive our economy!

Most importantly we need to cooperate and focus our efforts and resources to create an economy that can sustain more workers which would result in a stronger community.
The aim should be to rationally improve the market share of the Israeli products.
Such economy will be considered as a well-performing one.

I will talk about the ways and means in the upcoming articles, including prices, tariffs and other measures.
