I AM A FED!

Day 2,284, 21:27 Published in USA USA by Talio Extremist

Recently I have come out of hiding and was prompted to write an article due to a post that Blondeninja created asking a simple but pointed question: "Why did you join the Feds?"

After some thought I responded and if you are interested in reading mine and other party members replies then I would suggest you visit the Federalist Party Forum. Rather than bore you with a repeat of my full response, I think I can sum it up in just a few words. I originally joined early in my eLife because they were genuine and real. May not seem much, but after visiting a lot of other party's forums and fumbling around in IRC channels it was refreshing. Instead being arrogant and cocky towards a new player, people within the party were willing to help without demanding something in return. Plus they were willing to give me as a new player opportunity to learn and grow buy proving myself as a volunteer within a party department. This was unheard of in other political parties since only a select few were allowed in key positions. After proving myself they gave me the opportunity to run for Congress and mentored me on how to succeed in an election. Since then the political game mechanics have changed, but at that time another party would have let anyone run without any knowledge of the candidates intentions and definitely would educate the candidate on how to win an election let alone succeed once in congress. The final and the most important reason I joined the Federalist Party and become a lifelong card holding member was the fact that party leadership were willing time and time again to put members and county first rather than their own aspirations. There has been some exceptions, however the norm has never been self-serving. As the party platform states:

Feds and the US
1. We are Country-first
2. We believe in federalism and the power of parties
3. We are totally self-reliant and do not believe in political alliances at the party level

Feds and you
1. We are a meritocracy
2. We are newb-centric
3. We are here to help

Proud = Horny
1. Nation > self
2. RL > erep
3. Feds > all

If you are a new or old player, I would highly encourage you to visit the Federalist Party Forum or chat with party members on IRC @ #fedpartychat and judge for yourself.
