[CP] October Taoiseach Report #1

Day 2,147, 18:48 Published in Ireland Ireland by Ian E CoIeman

October 6, 2013

Hello eIreland,

It's me again. Thanks for electing me for a second term. Unless you didn't in which case... 🙁

Dáil Éireann

So, the great thing about keeping the same government for two terms in a row is the continuity this creates in government organization. For example, we start out this term with our Dáil already up and running and with full knowledge of the task at hand.

With the start of a new CP term comes the adjustment to the new regimes all around the world. So I've been answering my pms and getting better acquainted with some of my newly elected fellow leaders. So far I have no complaints, they all seem to be well humoured and reasonable people.

More to the point, the first task for Dáil in this new month will be to have a look at our current mpp stack, start making judgement calls on re-newing old mpps for the current month, and signing brand new ones for October. I'll keep you updated on our progress as we navigate the term.

You can view our current mpps here, along with information on their expiry.

You can also view Dáil's activities here.

*note:
It takes 24 hours to pass an mpp proposal before another can be proposed.

The Plan for October
The main thing this month is trying to finish up work on our new citizens program, and along side the obvious things - maintaining Ireland's security and regular operations - that will be my focus.

The other thing that we're aware of is that with not much going on you might be getting bored. Therefore, we'll look into the possibility of starting a little bit of trouble somehow - that is if it doesn't look like Plato will give us another competition to mop the floor with.

In the meantime I hope to have the Department of Community publish a Community Awards article in the near future, and I also encourage everyone to watch our Department of Defence for National Strikes on Sundays. Those National Strikes offer free supplies for all Irish citizens and are a great way to get involved and show off a bit of eIrish brawn.

Presidential Picks

I leave you with some articles from around the world, including one from our very own eBelgian holidayer here in eIreland. These articles have some real content and you know how I feel about feeding the mind!

Alliances of the World - Tony Clifford (Ireland)
Getting to Know All 70 Presidents - Dr Kawishiwi (UK)
CP Election Stats - Valiant Thor (US)

Enjoy!

Cheers,
Ian E Coleman
Taoiseach of eIreland
