Good (Whatever Time is in your Zone), Comrades!
3 days prior to PP elections, I approached both PP candidates asking if I could help them with Party tasks. Mr. Kevin proposed me as his SecGen while Miss Jaden gave me a lead of a Themed Writing Contest. Jaden won and here we are with our first weekly edition of the event.
Introduction:
The SFP, to encourage personal responses instead of only focusing on the SFPOM, plans to hold writing contests in a not disimilar vein to Resoula's old contests detailed here:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/rareonce-literary-contest-fifth-edition-2529443/1/20
However with some key differences:
We offer a broad theme for each contest, it can be as open ended as "love", or it could be specific like "opinion on current government policy", or something like that. The piece can be in any medium, a poem or a story with social commentary, or a journalistic text.
Prizes can be awarded for adherence to the theme, content, and overall quality/readability of the piece.
The contests will be held weekly or bi-weekly, with a week for judging to give people an idea of what pieces a panel of "experts" think was good, and then they vote, or they can just vote on what they thought was the best.
The SFP writers' guild will set an example for everyone else with hopefully at least one or two contributions from the group of us.
We also can offer specific contests where we give a very small or focused theme that gives bigger prizes. The bigger the prizes, I imagine anyway, the larger the number of people who will take part.
Honestly it mostly should run itself, as long as the article, perhaps a little art to picture the theme, and a sample answer is written, it should go well.
Topic: "Spooky" or "International eSocialism"
Marking:
There will be three judges them being:
1. Eddie A. (me)
2. Tom Cauchon
3. Lunete (Male)
The submissions will be judged out of 50:
25 for Material
10 for Language
10 for Writing Skills
5 for Tenses
Submit:
Way 1:

Eddie A.

All hail the media module
Heres my evil plan; Write one piece and send it to both competitions! Give myself 50/50 and buy some votes for Resoula's thingy.

Sounds simple enough. I should be able to get something.
