I'm sure many of you have read about the latest changes from the admins. If not, you can read about them on the official eRep forums - here.
When I read it, I thought it was a joke at first. However, the admins want to put a stop to tanking, and this is how they thought to go about doing it. I will say here now, I disagree with these changes, but the madness going on about rebellions and revolts isn't helping anyone.
We need to approach this in a calm and dignified manner - I'd love to see a return to good British (and Northern Irish!) values, where we can stand up responsibly, explain in a logical and coherent fashion why we disagree with the changes, and do things peacefully, without breaking the T&C.
Anarchy is not the answer, all it will do is make matters worse. I instead propose that we enter into a dialogue with the game designers, and approach this in a calm and controlled manner. It is for this reason I will not be breaking the T&C, will not be proposing a new Welcome Message, and will instead be trying to resolve the situation through discussion.
If you disagree with the changes made by the admin, make your comments below and vote the article. Do not break the Terms and Conditions, just sign to say you agree. Plato suggests on the forums that these changes cover the needs of 99.7% of citizens. Let's kick off the discussion peacefully by explaining that the figure may need revising.

@Woldy. Sorry. I disagree entirely. No-one should be asked to sacrifice their citizen account.
You signed the 20 odd CP letter about admins ignoring all of the presidents for he last 2 months, didn't you? You cannot talk about changes, they specifically told me 'public debates' are forbidden, as you just told us to do.

I agree with not proposing a change to the welcome message though. No point when France, Slovenia, Serbia, Iran, South Africa and Lithuania have already done it.
btw the 99.7% of people is just a measure of how many transfer over 10G in a typical day. It is not a measure of admin support.

It's about results JvB - you can't strongarm people into changing their mind, but through reasoned discussion and debate we can encourage change.

I thought the admin was being a little 'special' with the changes but apparently 99.7% think differently!?!
I'd also echo that Jhorlin is free to do what he wants with is account wheter its to let it die or go out in a mega-porn blitz although I don't believe that 'reasonable' discussion with Admin will or ever has resulted in stopping the terminal decline of the game.

Peaceful protest doesn't work here. Lana stayed. Only withholding/reducing gold income does. These protests are threatening ereps reputation, as they are all rating erep 1 star on Fb and writing horrible comments. That will reduce traffic to the website, reducing the number of players who join, some of whom buy gold. Also, it will shame some of those who bought/buy gold into not doing it again. See Calcavanti's avatar as evidence.

Admins, please listen to your customers. Open an honest dialogue about the changes you have implemented and be open to feedback. Many players have advised you time and again to no avail. It should not surprise anyone that it has come to this.

It didn't work - I''ve got 1 FP and a content ban atm, but I can still log in and out, and shout and publish etc.

I'm usually one to avoid any sort of conflict and so I would really like to see this solved without a series of bans and FPs. However, if that is what it takes then that is how far we are willing to go

I agree with your message, but disagree with your title. "Carry On," would imply laying over on our backs, and letting them have their way.
I would thoroughly enjoy a peaceful protest, if every single citizen (or the majority) was involved. If Gandhi did it with a billion people, we can do it, too.

Voted and signed. Im on strike. Now roking, no training, no fighting. Thats how the admin sees things. If i do nothing i am of no use to them and i dont contribute to the game.
The pocket is the only thing they listen to.
To be honest we should be thankful to those Admins, who brought this game in the air for all of us. Even if they made these changes we should not even try to think we can overpower them. They clearly are in charge and the following changes for me has been impressive.
Without the admins your favorite 5-15 minute game will die out, also I am pretty sure they don't care about any of your "pathetic" rants, as they will change whatever they feel is necessary.
I for one supports the Admin for these changes, and I don't want to give up supporting them. Just by doing nothing won't make them say Oh, we should change everything back. Remember this is only a game, and we should just face the changes.

This is pretty cowardly. The admins will look back, see that they have banned a large percentage of their old players, and try and work out what the fuck they have done.
Talks and discussions don't work with these people. The same people who
-Are quite content to obviously ruin their game for the benefit of 5 gold-buyers
-Censor and stifle discussion (I have never seen admin fascism such as this)
-Have no clue on how to relate to players
-Now seem to actively participate and favour certain players (see Octavian cucu in S.A)

Peaceful protest is just about as stupid as a violent protest. The sad fact is that if you don't like the game anymore stop playing.

Jhorlin is wrong, you cannot use reason to debate a person out of a position which they did not use reason to put themselves in. Strong arm rebellion is the only answer.
