AGAIN
My platform is simple:
* I will do what I can to end the war with Canada!
* I will work to repair our relations with our allies.
* I will contribute to rebuilding a stable alliance structure, whether that be rejoining Terra or joining a new stable alliance.
* I will argue against staying independent.
* I am COMPLETELY against joining ONE!
* I will support all efforts to improve our retention and damage in the lower divisions (such as Israel Stevens' TU2RU program).
* I will endeavor to increase wages and put more weapons in your hands.
* I will try to smooth the emnity between parties.
* I will expose the conflicted interests of congress-critters who put the interests of their "home nation" in Europe over ours.
* I will enjoy my time with as many interns as possible!
Why should we invade Canada?
Obviously, I don't think we should. But smart people do. I've heard three arguments: (1) Overthrow the corrupt idiots who have been mismanaging Canada, (2) It's fun, (3) To fight somewhere beside the Balkans.
I have a moral objection to reason (1). That's their business, not ours. If Canadians want to elect nimnoids for president, well, that's their choice. I agree with (2), but that's not enough. I also agree with (3), but that's the wrong solution. We should create a new alliance. Okay, CTRL went down in flames, but the idea was sound.

I would support a CTRL-like alliance though, if the major partners were actually on the up and up.
Terra is freaking dead Idea... That alliance is only supporting EDEN what should be out of queston.. and joining ONE would be too epic that it would work... too many big nations together = Fail. Always.
I would vote for independent, choosin allies what we want to support and what want to support us.

Hmmm ... LO, that's an interesting theory. I haven't heard it before.
If true, I would certainly be against it.
I haven't kept track of the origins of our congress-critters. The discussion on CTRL certainly showed that many in congress as interested in supporting Euro politics as much as American politics. But your statement implies organized intent ... That EDEN is organizing "their" people to get into *our* congress. And that multiple AMP PPs are intentionally cooperating.
The past 3 AMP PPs were IS, Haliman, and John Killah. I don't think any of them want to help EDEN PTO our Congress. IS started CTRL and Haliman supported it. More likely, they were trying to get as many AMPies in congress as possible. But maybe this is an unintended consequence ...
