So.... finally koppy's absentee term is ending, and we have two main contenders to replace him... Akki and Oraizan. Of the two I think Oraizan the better choice just because she has the more open, friendly, and diplomatic personality we need. Akki is fully qualified in all areas except diplomacy imo. Ive never seen him work the angles but based on his personality in forums and IRC, I cant exactly see him winning over the masses.
In quasi related news... I think I'll try running for congress seriously next time that comes around... Im in IRC and Forums every day anyways, and as Akki put it, Id be better than the army of faceless no-names that dont participate.
Now to the part you all actually care about!

The presidential seat is a leadership position, with it's main workload being, surprise: working with people. What's most important is being able to work with a variety of people, and being able to lead people towards a goal, even if it's not in your own ideal way.
That being said, I don't think Akki or Myself is the ideal candidate that I personally see eJapan needing, but sadly there isn't likely to be another great candidate for a long time. At least I know I won't leave anybody out as long as they're willing. 😁
