Your Civil Service This Month

Day 1,024, 14:40 Published in USA USA by St Krems

Firstly, I apologise for the tardiness of this article. I should have announced this month’s cabinet a while ago, but I’ve been mildly busy for the past few days. Most of the cabinet was selected, and began work a while ago, this article was merely waiting upon some final confirmations from people. Rest assured, we have had a functioning cabinet for the past few days, I’m just a perfectionist and didn’t want to publish anything other then a complete cabinet list.

I’d like to explain a couple of changes you’ll notice this month. Firstly, we have completely scrapped the Ambassador Program. Quite simply, it was unsustainable. It’s been in disuse and disrepair for about half a year now, with no where nearly a large enough force of workers and not producing anything of value. It was designed during the invasion, when we had a lot more active citizens and it’s simply not possible to run at the moment.

Secondly, we will be keeping the Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs positions separate. I was very happy with how this worked out last month and it’s something I feel will work even better this month due to a very special lady.

Thirdly, I have combined two roles. Chief of Staff and Vice President will be none other then your very own Colin Lantrip. Colin is obviously over qualified for both these roles and is someone I work with well. VPs are usually left floating in a useless void after they are used to secure endorsements. Since I didn’t use Colin to secure any endorsements I figured it was only fair I give him the chance to do some work this month. Colin will be responsible for the day to day running of the cabinet, keeping Secretaries on track, making sure they are meeting the goals I set for them, checking progress on government projects. Basically, he will be handling all the internal domestic government stuff I simply am too busy for. This si what we call effective delegation.
