You knew this was coming, right?

Day 1,026, 05:09 Published in Israel Israel by Maelyn

Those of you who were hanging out with me in IRC back in June and July may remember me mentioning that I didn't like v2 and wasn't sure I wanted to keep playing. Lots of us felt that way. Some left right away, others stuck around for a while. I decided I'd give it to the end of summer, then decide if it was worth sticking around. My house was conveniently due to disintegrate around the beginning of September, so that seemed a natural place to mark as Decision Day. September is here, my house disintegrates tomorrow, and so it is time.

I still don't like v2. I find it simultaneously boring and time consuming. The only way to fight effectively is to spend money. Economics is screwy. Politics hasn't changed, but.....I hate politics.
For a while I thought I might stick around to fight against the kibbutz. But that idea was (thankfully) tossed on the scrap heap where it belonged so that isn't necessary any longer.
Most of my friends have moved on (either to other countries, or out of the game entirely), so there's not much reason to stay.

I'll keep the PP position until the 15th when Gavin can take over.
I'll continue with my forum admin duties until the switch on the 20th.
I'll log on daily to vote in laws and all that until Knesset elections on the 25th.
But I will not be taking an active part in eIsraeli life after today.

What little I own I am donating to friends who are still here. Anyone who wants to reach me can send a note to my email address: maelynsedai@gmail.com

I might post a last article at the end of the month to say goodbye for good, but if I don't, I wish y'all well. (Well, most of you).
