You've done it again, America

You reelected me. And, just as importantly, you voted Pfeiffer down. Well done, I say.

I just want to thank everyone who voted to keep me in office, and my opponent for giving me a hard-fought reelection. It wouldn't be worth it if it wasn't difficult to attain, and I know you're going to keep trying. So like

Also Spain

I'll readily admit that I didn't pay much attention of domestic issues last month(unless you count creating and helping build a new military). I aim to change that this month. Each month that I've been elected president, I've been blessed with raging wars, despite the fact that I've always wanted to be a domestic issues president. Granted, this kind of stuff has always been my forte - I love hanging out with foreigners and making world-spanning war plans while also learning about their culture and all that other fun stuff that comes from being involved in alliance business, but I've always wanted to try my hand at domestic issues. Call it a rise to a challenge.

Thinking back though, I always enjoyed mentoring and helping people get involved as well. It's been a while, but in beta and v1(pre-presidency), I helped a lot of people and encouraged a lot of people to keep at what I saw as their best qualities. I encouraged DesertFalcon to to keep up the war reporting back in beta, and Geno Garon to keep up his parody newspaper in early v1. I've mentored a few people in my lifetime, not for the government, but because I wanted more people playing.

Our interior department has been kicking ass for the last two months under CRoy and jerseygirldani, but over the last month, they've grown tired of the work, and we've been working on getting them replacements. To this end, I've raised Bruce Sommer to Secretary of Interior and xRoWxTriggers as his deputy. I'm really excited to see what we can do with these two personalities who both have a passion for helping new people and other domestic projects.

Also, during the Federalist debate, they asked a question that I completely forget, but my answer was about strengthening parties and their abilities to reach out to people. Now, I'm aware that parties and me don't exactly get along because I'm not a fan of political pandering and moves for purely political purposes, unlike opponents of mine, but I think that having strong and sustaining parties is important for the country. I've opened a dialog with Federalist Party President gnilraps, who showed interest in my response, and after we spitball ideas for strengthening parties, I'll reach out to other party leaders around the country. Of course, party leaders are free to talk to me about their ideas and plans as well in the meantime.

Granted, this isn't a project that the executive necessarily has authority over, but it's worth the effort, I think.

On of the main things that we irl Americans have to be proud of is our country's diverse heritage. We're not one people, one skin color, or even one language. Rather, we are many people brought together under one flag with the promise of liberty and justice for all. Why then, would we operate any differently in our internet country?

PTO. Yes, that's a legitimate fear, and one we have to deal with whenever someone asks for entrance into our country. Congress's immigration system works to preform thorough background checks, and after that, we welcome them. Our military, both old and new national militaries, and our militias are multinational. Our Special Forces division has a European platoon lead by TTi09. Some of our parties have reached out to foreign-born nationals. we have two groups in our countries who've moved here somewhat recently(one a few months ago - iNCi, and one just this week - Bad Company).

I propose that we revamp immigration to reach out to foreigners and foreign groups to take part in our country.

What we offer them: a stable country, nearly all resource bonuses, constant military bonuses, an English-speaking government(English is a second language in nearly every country in eRep), a diverse society, and a good choice strong of military units to choose from. And they offer us more military and economic power.

We haven't had a strong immigration drive since the summer of 2008, under president Dishmcds. Back then, we had a Venezuelan mercenary group who moved here and started a party, after we had invited them to help us fight against Canada. They were apparently political exiles from their own country. Their party was mainly #6, but I think it popped into the top 5 for a month or two. DesertFalcon was a member of their party.

Anyways, point made, let's move on and I'll see you guys later~
