Yorkshire.... gods county? Maybe...... My county... damn right it is!!
Meklon Dramicus
Firstly, let me say that, yes, I am actually a Yorkshire lad...
....even though that's slightly misleading as, another interesting fact, I'm actually agnostic, but... c'est la vie.
So, where was I... yes, right, Yorkshire. If I was religious to any degree, then I would certainly believe that Yorkshire (especially North Yorkshire - come on, it should be a country all of it's own) would be under the grace of whichever deity my religion catered to.
As is probably evident from my previous article (A Run For Congress....(And a pre-emptive failure) I am running for congress in the Yorkshire region for the first time ever!!! So, in true Yorkshire fashion, I'm going to dive in head first and run into (and through) whatever problems that may arise during the tenure.
I'm thankful for the support I'm receiving so far (I'll catch a few of you on iRC this weekend probably) and more than happy for further support from those who have advice to offer.
Obviously if you do decide to elect me, I will fulfill the responsibilities and requirements of the post to the best of my abilities and try to take an active part in whatever congressional duties are bestowed.
So, when the time comes... 7 days time (25/09/2012) please, drop your vote to a Yorkshire man who cares about what happens to his county and his country..

I do not like the way you use the name of God...
Well james, I'm sorry you do not like my usage of the word, however the word god is technically more of a title than a real name.
Since there are many fabled gods from various religions, I think it is fairly unjust to name a single deity as "God" as that would be showing favouritism towards a singular specific religion when, in all honesty, no religion is more believable than another and, as an agnostic Yorkshireman, I don't believe in any of them anyway.
