I always locate myself in Argentinian Aussie occupied lands, Argentina usually has all the MPP's for D.O's so i don't have to move...and if Aussie battles pop up they are around 20-40cc in costs to travel.
Lack of MPP's is causing a few problems for MU's as we can't set D.O's
v6 a piece of advice mate :
1) in your level-strength DON'T FIGHT , just hold (=no fights no XPs)
2) in order to move anywhere for any reason ask for cc on your MU or in someone experienced(big level etc) or make a shout..don't hesitate..
3) Never support a rw,it DOES NOT WORTH THE MONEY..cause a simple calculation...
you give 1000(open rw) + travel costs ( min 20 cc) = 1020 min
you take back 5 gold if the region will be liberated.. ( 5 gold = 885 cc approximately according to mm)

If you want to support a rw and do not have the CC, ask around for funding. Someone people will give you the CC and if the rw wins then you return them 5 gold.
Canada I know previously has done this quite often and when the Aus government is sorted they can do the same thing, other players when they cannot support a rw themselves (7 day rule) will sometimes give out CC when the rw is a sure thing or they want to use it as a drain etc.
MU feeds can be used to ask for moving cc but also watching out for any competitions that may be happening is a good way of storing up some extra gold/cc to be used later on if you need.
As Hugh said, in times of limited MPP's by sitting in a country like Argentina you can minimise the travel costs and most importantly keep a job with the highest wage possible when you are not in a MU that requires a commune system
