XV: In Which I Announce Something Pretty Awesome

Day 1,051, 10:44 Published in USA USA by Little Old Halfling

This article is a bit of a double header, with an announcement first, followed by congress updates and election stuff afterwards. But first, the announcement.

For those that may have been wondering what this is supposed to have meant:

Apparently short people really hate calendars?

Allow me to clarify.

I'M RUNNING FOR THE PARTY PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED INDEPENDENTS PARTY ON OCTOBER 15TH.

Yes, that is correct, my little chunks of xp. Your very own sexy and shoeless god of war will be stepping up to take the mantle of one the top 5 parties. Of course, I'm not president yet, and I'll need a lot of help. Someone who understands where I'm coming from, but has the experience and sexiness to excellently compliment. And I know just the man.

Ladies and gents, Little Benny will be running with me on October 15th as my Vice Party President choice.

It's a winning combo of sexy midgetry, to be sure. I'll be announcing all of my cabinet choices soon...just as soon as some of them bother to check their PM's. >_>

Stay tuned for the sexiness!

Now, for an update on elections and congress. Feel free to stop reading here if you were just in it for the first part. 😃

Elections have turned out, and our fair Mr. Colin Lantrip is now (finally) heading the country. Colin is a great guy, and while he unfortunately couldn't provide me with an interview this time, he did allow me to do the most recent WHPR article. Check it out and vote it up if you like it too! 😃

With Colin we're going to see a lot of changes, but for the better. He's proposed a lot of consolidation and seems to be aiming to allow the government functions that are working let be while revising some of the key aspects. I have no doubt that he and Alexander Hamilton will do great things for this country. I wish them both good luck and my best wishes!

He'll hold your hand, America, through the good times and the bad...

Now for Congress.

Congress is in a current state of organizing. Being a first term senator, I can only assume that this is what happens most of the time. Budget donations have occured, and several hospitals have been approved, but not much really has occured.

The main topics of buzz have focused around a revised fighting strategy. My personal take is that we are essentially back to V1 standards in terms of fighting, and as such we should adjust back to that. But the econ module doesn't match up, making this shift back somewhere between what it was and what it was recently.

Being stuck in the middle can be tasty but not in this situation

The main feeling is that we need to support our military while still maintaining a proper budget for MPP's. I'm still learning finances and econ, so I'll refrain from even trying to comment.

The biggest topic of concern is the FEC. With the issues in the most recent elections of organizations, and new way of blocking has been proposed which, when explained, is fairly simple.

Basically the state's get divided into 15 districts that volunteer's will monitor and organize. Small scale, so easy handling. That way, the top 5 parties only have to communicate with the leadership in order for things to get done. I hope the system works out, personally, and I'm looking forward to getting involved with FEC and IES more this month.

If you read this far, you're an honorary master of sexiness. PM for your bonus to be officially applied.

Stay frosty America, and I'll see you again soon! 😉
