Xavier Griffith Senate Election Presentation

Day 610, 01:21 Published in Australia Australia by Xavier Griffith

My Fellow Australians,

After spending some time fighting in the wars with eUSA against PEACE Alliance oppression, i've returned to eAustralia to once again run for the Senate.

I've been watching for sometime and am not really happy that eAustralia is taking the right course or heading in the right direction.

It has come to my attention that the current Administration has implemented or is in the actions of trying to implement things that I don't believe are in the best interests of the eAustralian Public or its economy.

Some of these things include the concept of Government Run Offshore RM companies. The cost to the eAustralian People to do this is absolutely exorbitant and un-necessary and in effect destroys some of the RM Businesses in this country that have helped it develop and grow.

I direct your attention to the following document put out by the Minister of Finance titled July Budget ( http://forum.auserepublik.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1773 ) and specifically at the section relating to the Department of Industry and what the Administration of the current Government wants to do.

How can the Administration possibly justify this type of Total Expense when it doesn't seem that it is even making enough money to cover the Government Funded Companies?????

I can't understand how on earth the Senators even allowed this type of expense to pass through the Senate. Its astounding that something this disastrous could be passed and the Government allowed to do this.

My Pledge to you, as the Founder of the AIP and as an Independent Senator, along with other Senators that agree with me regarding the direction the Country is being PUSHED, will stand up and fight any actions like this from occurring.

1. I pledge that I will work hard to have this budget revoked, that the Government Funded Company options of Off Shore RM companies will NOT pass the Senate and if it does before the election I will move constantly to have it revoked.

2. I pledge also that the RM market in eAustralia will not just be thrown out with the dish water because some in the Government believe that the Country can no longer be supplied by them at a reasonable price. There has to be a way to help compensate these Business Owners who have supported and worked hard to help the Country Grow, and I will work strongly to achieve that help and or compensation in some way.

3. I pledge that I will pressure the Government Administration to produce a full listing of the Government Funded Companies, what they are producing for the Country, why they are producing it and what the total expense out of the Countries coffers are, then I'll move to have them sold off or removed from Government Funding if they are not relevant or wasting money with no gain.

4. I'll be returning strongly to the Axiom of the AIP, and that is to keep the Bastards Honest. I will be looking at things very carefully and will comment where I have to in relation to what I believe is the right thing for the Country and its people. I will support and accept support from other Senators either Independents or from other Parties in voicing mine and their concerns about issues that will affect this nation.

I've been accused of Defending the Senate and the way it operates, maybe I am to some extent, however I do strongly agree that it is time to reform it. I've posted suggestions for reforming it, I've made suggestions how that can be achieved and have even started discussions open to all to allow for discussion into the matter. I'm happy for the Reform to occur, what I'm not happy about is for people ranting and raving about how it needs to be reformed without any constructive information or suggestions on how that can be achieved other than "it needs to be gotten rid of". That said however, getting rid of the Senate and making it completely powerless just isn't an option for me. Its the voice of the People and should stay that way. But I agree that it should be refined more now that our Country has grown and so has the Senate. This will also be something I will be working towards if I'm elected into the Senate by the people of this Great Nation.

Finally, I want to leave that I'm open to change, happy to change. With the increase in the numbers of Senators our Country now has and the freedom the country has, change is inevitable, but it needs to be done in my opinion carefully and with full thought, knowledge and information in relation to the effect it will have not just on the Government, but the People of this Great Nation as well.

I ask you only to think about my Pledges and if you agree with them, then I ask you to vote for me at the Senate Elections.

Regards

Xavier Griffith
