Hi there,

DodgyHagrid has recently set out a task for us, the people of eAustralia, to write something for the media.
I have decided to post a piece of poetry that I have made.
Its about staying positive and continuing to move forward in the darkest of times.

The Sun Still Rises

The darkness welcomes me.
My vision is diminished.
I can only see the twinkling above.
They are my only friends
In this barren land.

Loneliness is my companion
As I wait to be embraced by light.
I wait.
Solitude follows me like a shadow,
A puppy who does not know its way.

I stumbled through the dark.
The darkness is my life.
My life is darkness.
I fall down. I get up.
I continue on my path.

I see my night light,
As it gracefully guides me through the gloom.
As the silver runner passes the baton
Onto to the blazing ball of fire
I realise that the sun still rises
