WORLD WAR NEWS -DAY 1648 : The America's Edition,

Day 1,648, 16:42 Published in USA USA by Hale26
Columbia Feeling The Heat.
Columbia has been put into hot water as of late, with Mexico gaining the initiative in the 2 nation's long standing war. On top of this, Indonesia has launched an invasion of the Columbian homeland recently, and it looks as if this is one battle Indo will win.
This would be a bad time for a power as strong as Indo to wipe Columbia, due to it's border with Chinese occupied Venezuela. Since China is occupied with trying to wipe Spain, an Indo invasion from the back would be a devastating blow.

Argentina under continuing pressure, Australia runs to the rescue.
Though the Argentine empire has regained ground against Chile, Argentina is still facing revolutions in both Bolivia and Paraguay. Though Brazil is helping out with these wars, the Anti-Argentine fighters have made large gains as of late.
As mentioned earlier, Australia has anounced that their buddy-buddy relationship with New Zealand is over. This dramatic shift in policy surprised many, but was understandable since New Zealand opposses Argentina. (Argentina is a powerful nation, so succumbing to a larger powers needs is beneficial in the long run...sometimes)
But it seems as if this policy change happened a bit to fast for some Aussies, with 2 NE proposals against New Zealand were voted down. Another one is currently being voted for, and it is facing considerable opposition.

Chinese Troops Land In Spain, Taking Andalucia By Storm.
China's long predicted war with Spain has finally bore fruit, following 2 succesful battles against the Spanish Stallion. With Andalucia falling after an intense battle between the 2 armies, China has started working it's way along Spain's coast line, attacking Murcia.
In other news, Portugal has lost it's initiative in the war against Spain, after a failed invasion and defence of Algarve and Castilla y Leon respectably.
With Spain's army stretched on 2 fronts, the Iberian peninsula just got a lot more interesting.

America Pushes Forward Into Hungarian Occupied France.
After a succesful defence of Aquitaine, America's soldiers have captured Poitou, with the Loire Valley currently being invaded.
Overall, the landing into occupied France has gone without a hitch, despite Hungary having the initiative. If things keep going America's way, we'll be in Paris sometime tommorrow.
Though this paper doesn't like to take sides, we still are an America paper, soo...
AMERICA, F**K YEAH !
That is all.

Invasion Of Canada Imminent, England Regains Ground.
Following various resistance wars, Canada has been left to 1 territory in the UK. With how things are going now, it looks as if an invasion of Canada will be imminent.
The last time the UK touched down in Canada, they went as far as Quebec before they were pushed out of the nation by TEDEN forces. Canadian's can only pray that, if worse comes to worse, the past will repeat itself .

There is much more news to report, but we'll have to save that for another issue. Sorry for the infrequent updates, been busy.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.

I've found recently that intros aren't my thing. Long story short, this article was due a few days ago. It was going to be about my humbly asking you to vote me as your PP in the upcoming WTP PP Primaries, outlining my plans...etc. But thankfully, you lot have forgiven me for my lack-of-article-ness and gave me your support.

First thing's first- Thank you for electing me WTP's Party President. Before WTP, I was a guy with a decent war newspaper. That's all I wanted from the game, and that's all I took from it. But when I joined WTP many months ago for what was a failed ATO attempt, things changed.

What is remarkable about the party, and the main reason I love it, is not where we are in numbers or how much we love newbs and activity- It is our beliefs and our drive.

Each and everyone of you is here for a reason; You do not fear change.

Some people choose to set activity and funsies (which are good) as their policy. That, just because we have a trbbl game, we should only have a theme in face alone. None of you want that.

In WTP we are populist. Leaders don't run their mouths about elections, we do not meta-game vote and reffs are held on every issue. Some fear what the unintelligent masses may elect. Others think that voting on trivial things is a waste of time.

We disagree. We realize that, if your point is so good, why can't you just...you know...convince the other few hundred people it affects? If the matter is so "trivial", whats the problem with voting on it? Voting encourages activity, amirite ?

I'll be the first to admit our system of doing things isn't golden. It takes time, education, involvement and communication for epopulism to work. Nonetheless, it's the one we agreed upon in the beginning- And I would never want to change that.

Now, as much as I like to meander on with my thoughts on our ideals and what not, I do have plans for this month. Firstly, this term's team-

Vice Party President- Talostastic

Recruitment- AlexMCS182

Little note about Alex~ He left for France awhile ago to help out there. He's still willing and able to help the party with recruitment though, just from a different location.

"Supplier"- HenryWilliamFrench

Advisors- Oblege and Mazzy

And, that's it. But before you all think I'm some trrbl Party President, or that I've went a bit too far with the "Small Leadership" idea, let me outline a goal I have for this month~

Currently, most of our talent is stored in the Internal Affairs Department. We have PAC directors in there, Mentoring Directors...etc. There's quite a bit of talent to be developed in the party.

So, goal #1 for this month- Develop our talent into Leadership spots.

So far I've set up a list of party workers who'd be interested in helping out in small projects here and there. From there I hope to set up a data-base of go-to workers for smaller projects, keeping track of them for larger ones as well. Every since Alex joined us and became the recruitment manager, we've had mad amounts of young talent joining us. Under my term, we're going to foster that.

That should be about it so far. I'm going to be working on a mini-outline of projects, getting that fancy shmancy worker-data-base up, announcing the results of Bill 1 and Congressionals. Yes, for once, we're doing these on time.

Thanks again to my competition and the party for electing me. Continue to INSURGIO, team.
