PHOENIX SHORT, MEDIUM, AND LONG TERM GOALS


1. OPERATION ROMANIA

After Romania saw the transcript of the meeting of top Phoenix officials with their Polish and Spanish counterparts, in which they agreed to cooperate, and sacrifice Romania, Romania has reacted.

Presidents of eRomania and eHungary met in a bar at a RL meeting.

This is how I see things. A high-ranking Phoenix strategist gave the meeting log to Max McFarland. You gotta Phoenix is very clever. They dont have intrigue like EDEN with elections etc. They operate like a gang, and the same people will always lead Phoenix.

In the meeting log, when Spain/Poland were asked to sacrifice either Romania or Croatia for a new world order, Spain/Poland said they would let Romania be sacrificed because "there is no profit in sacrificng Croatia."

But then Phoenix gives the log to Americans to publish it.

It is my opinion that Phoenix already has its own members, and to take the 3 most powerful countries of EDEN would only create problems. That would be too many new people in the Phoenix command, and would mess with their organizational setup. They also can't throw out any of their own member states, and the relationship of Croatia and Serbia is such that they would not be able to be in the same alliance at the moment. When I asked Hungarian strategists on the feasibility of a central european alliance, they said that such an alliance could work, if not for the Croatian and Serbian conflict, which would effectively put a stop to such an arrangement.

There would be other problems to Spain/Poland/Croatia joining Phoenix. The relationship of those 3 countries to the rest of EDEN is very good. Thus, taking the top 3 EDEN countries out of EDEN and putting them into Phoenix would not work, because Phoenix doesnt need the weaker EDEN countries that would want to follow the top 3.

I was always perplexed at the Phoenix leadership's attitude to the USA vs Poland/Spain split. When you look at for example Zoli's comments in the Max McFarland log article, he's making fun of Poland. You would think he would be making fun of Americans and trying to get Poland into their own camp.

In Cerber's article where he talks about the meeting log becoming public, he says that the only thing he regrets is talking bad about Romania at the meeting, and calling them names.

These are all things that Phoenix counted on when they gave the log to Max McFarland.

Now What has happened since then? Romania has not renewed the MPP with the United States.

Is it possible that Phoenix never even wanted Poland/Spain/Croatia in their alliance, but Romania?

With Romania they would become strong enough the dominant eWorld force for an extended period of time.

I don't think Romania is being played like a fiddle here. I think they have been complicit here for a long time. If you recall, they started the EDEN dissatisfaction by deciding not to participate in EDEN operations. Their former president has recently called for open debate on an alliance with Hungary.

You have to realize that Romania is the easternmost EDEN nation, and is blocked on all sides. They are a proud nation that wants their empire back, and only a deal with Phoenix would see them able to take Podolia back.

I think that Romania is the one who will be a new member of the Phoenix, and only Romania.

They will be easily integrated into Phoenix, and Phoenix wont have to change its structure. With Romania, Phoenix and Romania would benefit.

And now we get to Phoenix's second aim.

2. CONTROL OF THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE

Invasion of North America is not short to medium term aim of Phoenix's since it is easier to dominate the southern hemisphere and control the titanium regions in South Africa and Australia.

This plan is going well. Indonesia now controls the hi titanium Western Australia region.
Indonesia attacked Australia 7 minutes after Australia voted for the peace treaty. Indonesia has since confirmed the peace treaty, and for Australia to win that region back, they would have to declare war again, and attack Indonesia 1 on 1. This Phoenix maneuver has effectively blocked Australia from fighting in South Africa.

Indonesia is in a great position now. They will be able to have an empire again now that they have hi titanium. They have USA sitting on their northern border, but USA wont attack since they would activiate Indonesian MPPs if they did that, which would put Karnatka in jeopardy.

This gives Phoenix free reign in South Africa. They will make a big push at wiping out South Africa before the congressional elections so they can take over the country in a TO.

Even if they are no able to wipe out South Africa and TO it, they will still dominate South African titanium fields because Brazil and Argentina will be able to keep attacking that region, while Australia is blocked from coming to Africa by Indonesia controlling Western Australia.

Thus, South Africa is in deep trouble, and effectively lost for EDEN. No EDEN nation can even come there to take possession of one of the 3 titanium fields. The only way EDEN could get to South Africa is if Peru/Poland/Spain/USA made a big push in South America. Which doesnt look likely at the moment.

Notice the Romanian DMG in the battle for Western Australia.

This was the biggest ever battle in eRepublik, and Romania had 143k out of 15 million, in a battle that surpassed 20,000 gold in costs.

It seems to me that Romania has saved up a lot of gold in recent times.

Also, Australia lost a region with 135 diamond companies and 30 grain companies, while in Northern territories they only have 55 diamond companies. This will have a big impact on their economy in the near term.

3. INVASION OF NORTH AMERICA

Now let's talk about the invasion of North America.

This is more of a long term Phoenix goal.
There is no point in Phoenix going to North America since the only Phoenix nations that would profit are Portugal and Russia. And frankly, Russia already has all the resources they need, so there is no point in them even going to N. America. So forget about Portuguese aims in N. America.

If the Poland/Spain vs USA split intensifies, Phoenix will cooperate with EDEN so they can wipe out USA in Asia. That way they could get Hungary and Serbia into the southern hemisphere.

This is the real medium to long-term goal of Phoenix. Not the invasion of North America, but removing USA from Asia.

Southern hemisphere is a pushover. They would make fortresses of the titanium regions there, and control the access points to those regions in South America and Southern Asia. No one would be able to dislodge Phoenix from southern hemisphere after that.

For USA to be wiped out in Asia, Poland/Spain would have to cooperate. In return, EDEN and Phoenix would invade North America, and Poland and Spain would get their HI regions in N. America.

Invasion of North America would thus be a medium to long-term goal of combined forces of Phoenix and EDEN.

Poland and Spain dont really have much choice, since certain things have forced their hand, like the USA withdrawal from EDEN, Romania getting close with Hungary, and their inability to make gains in Asia; not to mention their inability to take possession of titanium in the southern hemisphere.
