Reduced company / training ground upgrades
Once again, Plato has recently given us the opportunity to upgrade our training grounds / companies at a reduced rate. As these deals are quite common, it is recommended that players wait until these deals arise before undertaking major upgrades. Many governments have been offering loans to active and trustworthy citizens, so if you are a little short of gold contact your relevant government official.

New missions, but only briefly
Plato recently released some new missions to encourage players to explore the guerilla warfare system. The missions however, proved to be a little more successful than anticipated and many players flocked to guerilla warfare. The systems had a little trouble coping with the increased load and the missions had to be cancelled.

On the topic of resistance wars though, players can now fight in guerrilla fights in resistance wars.

Circle of Trust (CoT) vs The World is Ours (TWO)
A major offensive has recently been launched by CoT against TWO. CoT has been focusing their firepower on a select few targets, launching a number of attacks and resistance wars on a particular target before moving onto the next. While TWO is capable of dealing more damage than CoT, due to lack of strategic planning they have mostly been losing the war. It isn’t bad news for all members of TWO though, as some of the more powerful members have been able to regain lost territory that formerly belonged to other members.

France
France has been able to successfully regain the southern part of the country from Serbia, with deep pockets, France has had no problems funding their resistance. They have however been assisted by the fact that Serbia has been the Target of the alliance CoT and has been facing battles on numerous fronts. Speaking of alliances, the front runner to the French CP elections, Liberticide has made it clear his intention is to try and have France join CoT. This would most likely be a symbolic issue, as France already has a number of Mutual Protection Pacts with CoT members.

Australia
The war with Indonesia is now tipped heavily in Indonesia’s favour, with Australia losing almost all their regions. If trends continued, it seemed Indonesia would have been able to take the remaining Australian territory, however it appears they have been holding back in order to weaken Australia’s defence shield. Internally, Australia has been hampered with divisions three and four no longer receiving government funding which has caused a bit of panic in the Australian community.

Italy
Up until recently, Italy had all of it’s regions conquered mainly by Slovenia with a number conquered by Serbia. Taking full advantage of Serbia’s multiple fronts, Italy was successful in a number of resistance wars to regain territory. They have since moved onto regaining regions from Slovenia and have had some success.

Macedonia
While Macedonia was successful in regaining a single territory from Greece, they knew they would have trouble holding it for an extended period. The Macedonian government used this territory as a springboard to launch an attack on New Zealand. Macedonia has been successful in conquering New Zealand entirely, gaining a number of regions.

New Zealand
New Zealand was recently hit with an airstrike from Macedonia and due to their smaller military, were unable to defend themselves. New Zealand had hoped for their assistance of their alliance TWO however, with the number of battles TWO is facing around the world they were unable to provide enough assistance. New Zealand has subsequently been wiped from the map.

Greece
As we recently reported, Greece and Cyprus recently declared each other natural enemies and continued their war. While Cyprus was initially able to hold onto their regions and even launch a successful counter attack, this was mainly due to their defence shield. However, now that is depleted Cyprus has been unable to defend against the Greek attack and has had all their regions conquered.

Bulgaria
Not long ago, both Bulgaria and Lithuania declared each other natural enemies with Bulgaria launching a successful attack to increase their territorial holdings in Scandinavia.

Lithuania
Lithuania is under attack on a number of fronts from Finland and Bulgaria. The battle started relatively balanced, however Bulgaria and Finland have been able to gain the upper hand and are slowly obtaining a number of Lithuania’s holdings.

Belgium
Recently the government of Belgium announced that they would be launching an air strike, however the location was not disclosed. The UK, who is a member of the alliance TWO assumed the air strike must have been aimed at TWO. The UK then promptly declared Belgium a natural enemy in preparation. Belgium’s original target was actually Switzerland, as they were under the risk of a PTO and Belgium has a long standing agreement they would provide assistance if needed.

As it turns out, the PTO risk was averted and the airstrike was not needed and was subsequently called off. The end result was a tensioning of the relations between UK and Belgium. At this stage, no conflict has commenced.

Brazil
Brazil has recently suffered a number of defeats at the hands of the Argentines, losing all of their home territory and their holdings in South Africa. Brazil has the largest population in the game, with Argentina following not too far behind.

USA
With the assistance of their allies, CoT has been able to help USA liberate many of their territories from Serbia, however with USA’s attention divided, they have lost a number of territories to Poland, a member of TWO.

Mexico
Mexico has control of all of their core regions and has managed to secure a number of Serbia’s former holdings in USA (fighting against Serbia, not USA).

Ukraine
The war between Russia and Ukraine continues on, as it has for some time. The war has been quite evenly balanced, with regions changing ownership back and forth a number of times. Overall, Russia is slightly ahead.

China
China is currently discussing the possibility of leaving their current alliance EDEN and joining another.
