British Campaign

Before...

After...

With the British kicked out of Ireland’s home regions, they turned to their mainland. There is a resistance war in South West of England. SWoE is a fish region, something the UK has three others of. This makes it seem like the RW is just a power drain for other battles going around the world.

The UK got a lot of help from France recently, which proceeded to attack mainland Canada. They got a strong foothold in Canada, even capturing Quebec. Canada rallied, and was able to reduce France to just Prince Edward Island. A recent attack on the island, however, failed. This means France now has initiative again, and it will be interesting how this turns out.

French Campaign

Before...

After...

France has mounted the attack, and is currently laying siege to Midi-Pyrenees against Spain.The battle is currently 3-0 in favor of France, but it is still possible for Spain to rally. Midi-Pyrenees is a grain region, and therefor not strategically important for France. They look like they are just trying to reunify France, and perhaps prepare for another invasion of Spain.

This front is a lot quieter than it was before the new attack rules, but since neither side has rallied a peace treaty yet, it doesn’t seem like the battles are going to end soon.

France is also involved in an invasion of Canada. It’s doubtful that they will want to give up their foothold in North America, so this battle, like the SWoE battle, may just be another drain.

South American Campaign

Before...

After...

I decided to cover South America in my last campaign coverage section, since it is neglected a lot.

Columbia recently launched failed attacks against Chile in North Amazon, and Venezuela in Zulian. This prompted a counter attack by Chile in Amazonica. The battle is 3-0 with Columbia behind, and looks as if Chile will take the win.

Spain also launched an attack on Guayana, Venezuela, and will take it easily. The battle is also 3-0, with Spain ahead, and it is expected that the trend will remain.

Brazil recently left PHOENIX, and signed two different MPP’s with USA, both of which were canceled due to the UK war. South America is much more alive these past weeks, with the small countries warring, and a shift in views with the larger ones.

~~~
With the new rules in place, multiple battles between the same countries will not happen. However, there will be a constant line of battles between them. Initiative is back as well, so strategists in both alliances will have to go back to old thinkers!
