With a Flower -Emily Dickinson
gordongekko
I hide myself within my flower,
That wearing on your breast,
You, unsuspecting, wear me too --
And angels know the rest.
I hide myself within my flower,
That, fading from your vase,
You, unsuspecting, feel for me
Almost a loneliness.

Emily Dickinson is one of my favorite poets, but she writes poetry that is so depressing... 😃

Have you ever noticed that almost all of Emily Dickinson's poetry can be sung to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas"?
