Winston Hope Smith running for Country President - Tolerance

Day 1,656, 06:31 Published in Ireland Ireland by Winston Hope Smith

Hi Colleagues, Comrades and Citizens

In this my third article I want to set out the “Tone” of my administration.

This is important to me if not to all others.

One think that I find is missing in eIreland is Tolerance

It is IMHO time that the ”Official” interactions from Government contain no derogative remarks based on the usual groups..Sex, Religion (or none), Race, Colour, Disability, Social Stutas, RL Nationality, Orientation etc.

We in eIreland are a diverse group of all of the above and the State needs to remain neutral in these matters. Everyone should be made welcome and should feel that the State welcomes them to the game. This will be mandatory in a Winston Hope Smith administration and if any Ministers etc. feel they cannot live by this rule this please say so now.

This is not censorship...

Players when not speaking for the State, be they Ministers or not, are free to print whatever they want. While I would prefer everybody in eIreland adheres to a mature and tolerant code for discussions I do not feel it is the States business to try (not that it is even possible) enforce it. Ingame rules and regulations are doing that job for now.

All citizens are equal in the eyes of the State and should be treated as such.

All eRepublik players should be treated with dignity.

This is a vision I have and while I know it is a aspiration and some of our players will outright reject it, it will hopefully, over time, reduce the level of intolerance we have now which is, imho, quite shocking.

Colleagues, Comrades and Citizens we can do better and this is when we start.

Until next time
