Wining a campaign against a stronger enemy
Kaad
Greetings friends of the eWorld!
Today's article will be about a military fact that have been seen in the past days in CoT battles.
Let me take the example of the peruvian RW yesterday. Peru was rising against Argentina wich use to be one of the most powerfull country on a military point. They currently are the best damage country in D2.
Argentinian shield was auto activate, it means that at start, Argentina had already damage done on their side! (14M in D3!)
However Peru managed to break that shield and earn some points. Argentina managed to come back but Peru closed the campaign.
Here are the facts, but why did Peru won?
1. Damage drain
Draining damage is when your enemy is fighting in 2 or more battles. They are obliged to separate their damages. Other battles can be an attack from an other country or a RW that was started only to drain damage.
In our case, Argentina was having a RW against Chile. Argentina launched the RW, so the Chilean shield was on.
2 battles at the same time, it is hard to win any of them! But separetly, they could have won both of them.
2. Timezone
Despite being much more powerfull than Peru and each of Peru allies (Chile, Mexico, Brazil, USA...), Argentinians allies are only... Colombia and Bolivia!
Most of Argentinian allies are located in Europe! When Serbia is awake, Argentina is sleeping!
Argentina and their 2 allies where alone against all other south and north american countries when Europe was sleeping!
It explains also why Argentina started to come back! Peru and their allies where sleeping, while Serbia, Greece,... where fighting!
3. Managing damage
It is deeply hard to do this, and it can be also the key of a campaign.
Lets imagine. In a campaign, you have 3 battles and only D4 (not very realistip
😛). Country A can do 60M damage. Country B can do 40M damage.
In round 1, A do 35M damage, B do 13M damage -> 5 pts for A
In round 2, A do 15M damage, B do 16M damage -> 5 pts for B
In round 3, A do 10M damage, B do 11M damage -> 5 pts for B
Country B won by 10-5 with only 40% of damage!
Peru won all their rounds with less than 52%, most of the time with less than 51%! Argentina won their rounds by over 70%!
Peru had realised a perfect management, and do not won because they did more damage, but because they were able to do damage when they needed it.
4. What should you remember
You are a fighter, or you wish to be usefull as you can?
Than fight only when the bar is under 52%. Save your damage until the right time and enjoy your country wining!
PS: This is not working if you are Switzerland AS Serbia
😛

nice article
And another 3 things to win a campaign is to have: HerrVodka, Dragon Funa and Admiral M 😁
ColinLantrip, Trico,...
good article
Just my 2 cents, the main ingredient of Peru victory was 50cc for 1M in D4. If you want to win a campain you have to set the highest compensation, Peru just proved my point.
DId you know Argentina was giving 300cc at one time? Nothing compared to the 50😁
They gave even 400cc/mill 😛... Good article Kaad \o/
I wish I was there at that time it would be my 20 M for Argentina instead for Peru 😃

Nice outline! Things are way more complicated, but I like the way you have simplified everything : ))

Only reason CoT is being able to win few battles is because of this shield... Its impossible to like make 100M in D2 to even move that wall...
wrong, Argentina had an active shield against Peru...
Oh gosh, but the core of TWO damage is concetrated on the battles we simply cant win because of the shield. Serbia made 150 billions of damage in competition and came 66th, thats lame.
Spain couldnt win MPP battle against Canada, thats joke... CoT is nothing compared to TWO thats reality. TWO is selfish and doesnt use damage wisely thats a fact, but without shields CoT cant defeat TWO
LOL, just look Mexico wining against Hungarian shield...
