Welcome to the third Welcoming Committee House Raffle, this week's Q1 house was generously donated by http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1536806>tajg0. The rules are different this week.

Buying a ticket for the raffle costs only 1 USD. One dollar, everyone has that. I changed the price from $5 to $1 because I had some valid complaints from new players the last couple of weeks that wanted to participate but couldn't afford the $5. There is no limit to the amount of tickets you can buy, and if you're used to giving us 5 USD, feel free to buy 5 tickets (or more).

The contest ends at 23:59 on Thursday (Day 653), the winner will be announced on Friday, before everyone leaves town for Labor Day weekend.

A couple of other announcements:

1) For those of you who use the Welcoming Committee as a gift exchange, if you ever find the storage is full and you can't send gifts, donate them http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1309691>to my citizen account (ligtreb).

2) I will be out of town on Saturday through Monday (Days 655-657), UPDATE: Cade Magnus will be filling in for me.

WHAT DOES THE WELCOMING COMMITTEE DO?

Well, the main purpose is to help welcome new players to the game, which includes:

1) A free Q1 gift for newbs who ask for one, and they are sent back links to the http://eusforum.com/>eUS forums, important http://www.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/dod-orders-194506/1>newspapers and other http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=cHRRSUFEbFdjSHVYNG4zN2t2S0phTHc6MA.>forms.

2) Gifts to players under 40 wellness so they can fight and help us in the war. They are also sent instructions on how to fight effectively, like the ones http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/how-to-fight-and-heal-883058/1/20>contained in this article.

3) A gifting exchange for all players. If they send a gift, they are gifted back, boosting their wellness.

4) Someone people can rely on to answer questions and offer advice.
