Why the eUK Navy is the best thing since cheese on toast

This isn't an advert from an eRepublik expert who pays RL money for gold and owns his own business. This is the story of a regular player who decided to make the best choice any eUK citizen could make. Read on to find out why YOU should be joining the eUK navy, and why your eRepublik experience couldn't be the same without it.

About a month ago the eUK started getting involved in many battles thanks to our fantastic Prime Minister. It was clear that these attacks were putting people in a better spirit and made them more willing to play the game. I wanted to get into this action but I was a complete newbie with no fighting experience or weapons.

A little after I joined eRepublik, and I noticed that there were many adverts requesting that people joined the Navy - they were telling us that it would improve our eRepublik experience by getting us more involved with the battles occuring around the globe.

When I started seeing these adverts I didn't pay much notice to them - I had many questions about the service. Were they official? Would I be alone? How professional is it? I instead joined a regular job like many other people in the eUK and started earning money.

It was about the time that I got to level 10 that I realised that there was more to be had to eRepublik than just working and training; occasionally I got enough money to buy a weapon, but that was soon used up and I was on my way again. I turned once again to the eUK navy articles and wondered whether my eRepublik future would be better spent in there rather than working on a 3GBP wage.. I applied.

I was amazed by the response, the PM I recieved mentioned that due to my "apparent in-game experience" I was to be put straight onto a ship rather than go to the training ground. This made me feel good about myself, but it also made me realise that these guys are very serious and official - they have a separate academy for new players! I even had a crew leader and sure enough I soon recieved a message from him too.

This PM made me feel that I had definately made the right choice in joining the Navy; he told me that the Navy had their own forum, they have their own military hub where orders can be viewed, they have activity checks and rotations. I was very excited about the idea of staying here in the Navy - I felt I belonged.

My ship was on rotation to begin with. I was told to join one of the Navy's own jobs, but I was disappointed to find that it only payed a 2GBP wage. The next day however I recieved 3 items from the Navy - I was amazed to find that they'd actually given me 3 weapons to fight with! Not only that, but it turned out that they'd always give me free weapons so long as there was an important fight to be involved in. This turned my 2GBP wage into effectively an 11GBP one - this really was the icing on the cake.

I am so happy that I've joined the eUK Navy, and I made this article as both thanks to the people who run the Navy and make it so great, but also to other players calling them over to join us. If you ever had any doubts like I once did, hopefully this article should show you that for a fantastic eRepublik life.. the future is Navy. 🙂
