Why Plato Changed Divisions

Day 2,282, 10:23 Published in USA USA by Derphoof

It’s simple folks, the almighty dollar compelled Plato to implement division changes in the fashion that he has.

This game has become increasingly slanted towards the pay-to-win model of other “free” games on mobile and over the internet. This has become more and more apparent to the people who play this game. However, it took a subtle yet large step further in that direction today.

By making D1 so expansive and D4 so exclusive, they are attempting to increase profits from gold and weapon purchases.

By making D1 so incredibly large, they have made it impossible for a new player to join the ranks of D2-4 without buying gold. By training, working and getting 25 kills each day, they will earn 30 XP. However it takes 50,000 XP before they can reach level 35 and fight in D2. That means it will take 4.57 years before they are able to hit that mark, if the game is still around at that point.

So how on earth can they ever achieve a high level and fight in a more meaningful division?

BY BUYING GOLD! (yay.)

With those bought training centers and companies, they’ll earn more XP every day, helping to level up quicker! But it’s okay if they don’t right? They can surely fight in D1 and make a difference in battle…. right?

The problem is that D1 is now populated by players who were formerly in D2 and 3. Many of them were essentially tanks in their divisions, having focused on strength training early on. Due to the advanced strength levels of their new D1 comrades, they will be unable to make a sizeable impact without buying gold and weapons!

You may be weak now, but by buying these weapons, you’ll be a tank! - Papa Plato

Plus, eRepublik now frames Battlefield Divisions as a “Locked Feature” of the game, rather than an achievement. So spend all the money you can, newbs! Gotta unlock all of the game features!

The exclusive membership of D4 also helps to boost their profits. After all,the D4 players typically spend the most on the game. So they’re betting that this will make them spend even more money!

After all, when you’re one of only 50-600 D4 players in your country who can influence the battle, you need to do all you can to win! With 8-16 rounds in each battle, they’re hoping that D4 tanks lay down their Visas and Mastercards, spending big money trying to win each CRUCIAL D4 round.

Calling for reinforcements on your shout feed won’t help any longer, only your money can secure victory for your nation!

So now you know why Plato has decided to rearrange divisions the way that he has.

Its all about the bottom line. They are running a business, after all.
