Editor’s note: This is a WGI topic that could make me lose focus as I scale emotional heights. Please bear with me dear readers...

There are many countries in the New World, countries that are mightier, stronger and larger with higher populations and huge resources than eIndia. Countries that revel in the glory of vast empires that they helped build, those that they helped annihilate and wars that changed the map of the New World. Virtual world gives you opportunity to grab the spotlight, be a leader, acquire and exert great power, make or break careers, dreams and nations with one push of a button (provided you are pushing the right one...).

And then there is eIndia...

What do we have to boast about? What is great about a nation of barely 800 citizens that still has many of its regions under foreign occupation, a nation that has never had any conquests to boast of, other than the Liberation Wars?

Well, dear friends, we belong to a culture that thrives on humility that stems from boundless self confidence and dignity based on mutual respect. We don’t believe in aggression against foreign countries in RL or in Virtual world. Now to answer the question more precisely, I make eIndia great.

I am the one who attracts a casual net surfer to come and get registered as a citizen of India. I must admit that often, the newbie is bewildered and is usually confused about what is going on and this is a real hard burden for him as he is struggling to earn his daily food, train and stay alive.

Unlike Pluto, I come back at this point and make someone contact and guide the newbie, either on behalf of The Government of eIndia or otherwise. The newbie quickly regains his foot and learns how to interact with me on the forums, on the media and on the shout box rather than waiting for me to go to him. From there on the newbie takes off...

I make him contribute his ideas on the forums, contest elections, fight wars, run the country and become a veteran. I make him crisscross the eWorld in search of friendly nations, do the negotiations and lay the foundations of a great future for eIndia. I make him earn respect in the eWorld for himself and for his great nation.

So as you see, I am the one who makes eIndia great. In case you are still wondering, I am The Spirit of India. I am the driving force that makes many spend countless hours over many months on the MSN, IRC, forums. I am the force that makes great leaders, strategists, writers, fighters and citizens. I make eIndia confident enough to stay neutral in spite of being a relatively small nation. I enable the national psyche to adopt a dynamic and progressive stance on all matters of national importance regardless of all the debates and arguments that happen. I ensure that we present a friendly, helpful and confident face on the global arena, a presence that is respected and appreciated by the entire world.

I enable the eIndian to stand up and get counted. We are not afraid, we are not ashamed and we have nothing to hide. Have you noticed how all the eIndians embrace me regardless of whether they are RL Indians or not? Marvel at my strength and you will understand why we keep amazing others despite all the hindrances.

The Spirit of India will never whither. I will continue to lead the way so that you shape a bright future for eIndia. I will ensure that eIndia is never dead, whether we have a single citizen or over a billion. I will be the unlimited source of solace in a world that gets tired of limitless power and meaningless conquests. Have faith in me and I will make your Virtual World a delightful and meaningful addition to your daily life....
