Why I've Decided to Run for the Dáil

On moving to Ireland, I intended to become involved in the affairs of the nation as a new citizen, just as I would if I were just starting out in the New World. I've adopted Ireland as my new home and regard it now as my homeland. However, I had not intended to run for Congress immediately as I was looking forward to a nice holiday before I became hyperactive again. I've changed my mind.
Why? Because two-clicking is mind-numbingly boring. I still find myself on eRepublik at least 12 hours a day, but now I have nothing to do with that time. I like having something to do, something to keep me busy. Sitting in front of my computer waiting for something to happen is not fun at all. I realize the Irish forum is new, but even still, not much happens there. Even the activity level on the US forum has dropped since my departure. I'm bored.
Therefore, I've decided to run for the Dáil earlier than I planned. I'm seeking an Irish party willing to run a "new" citizen who happens to have a lot of experience under his belt. The region I run in doesn't really matter. In office, I'll put in as much work as I did in the US Congress, generally posting more comments per day than most Congressmen did in the entire month. Please, help ease my boredom while giving Ireland an extremely active Teachta Dála. Thanks.

You've always done right by me, so I'd hate to jump to conclusions, but I would hate for the people of Ireland to give you power without an explanation of your involvement with Ajay Bruno and his attempts to PTO eSA.

Ah yes, the South Africa PTO scandal...my involvement was necessary to gather information for the South Africans. I've been in contact with Ines Schumacher regarding Ajay's plans since he approached me with the idea. Now that he has finally learned not to post any info on the IRC, I can reveal my involvement. I was the mole leaking info to aid the South Africans. It eased my boredom a little for a day or two.
i hate you, this is a game, not a real life... do you spend 12 hours in front of your pc, doing the same things?!?! you're not sane, you need to participate in the real life to... lets SUPOSSE (or however is correctly written) that you sleep 8 hours + 12 hours in eRep, you only have 4 hours for yourself!? involve in RL politics if you want (and if you can), play less hours eRep... what are you going to do if the game goes down!?

Chris did everything humanly possible to wake eAmerica up before its inherent downfall. I have a feeling if eIreland opens it doors to disposed ecitizens of the world we will see a surge of prominent ecitizens flow into our borders.

I left eAmerica because of the bickering between the politicians and the lack of organization. It was pathetic and I have better things to do than put up with negative Nancey's who don't even have a clue on how to run a country, or plan an effective counter-offensive for that matter.

Grainne, your posts are always like poems, which I was never the best at interpreting. I'm not sure if you are saying I should move out of Ireland or stick around without really doing much. Any nation is horrible to live in without the trust of the active players.

I'm sorry I got all upset with you when you ran for President and all the treaty nonsense. At the time it seemed so important... like it was betrayal and meant something.
Then I read Benn Dover's article and really soured on the game. Now I think you're just a guy who moved too fast because as you say, you get bored.
And to those hating on his 12 hour comment, Chris has mentioned on the eusforums that he has his computer at work logged into eRep, so he's checking it whenever.
I saw this coming a mile away. My prediction - Chris Stanwick October 09 - Ireland allowing him to fulfill his game fantasy that the US did not allow him to do.

NOT HAPPY....with all thats goin on re. PTO's i thought a player with ur exp would have the decency/respect for our fine country by not running in elections so soon after joining ireland .There is a massive influx of americans due to current global situation and i for one do not wish to have our country run by "political refugees". Could be worse i suppose at least u didnt form your own party.

Understand that Chris has never shown remorse for exposing private trusted information that he was asked to generate as Secretary of State in the eUS. He doesn't believe he did anything wrong. He doesn't understand the persecution. He doesn't seem to put value on trust or privacy, only his own goal of becoming President of an eNation, any eNation.
He'll turn out like Longbaugh, is my prediction.
He believes that he can run away from his foul deeds to eIreland, and when he finds out that the Irish value trust and national unity as much as Americans, he'll move to some other country where he hopes he can escape.
