Why I did what I did

Yes, I left the forums. I did this because of two reasons. One, the forums are no fun anymore. It has become a shitty place to be. Two, I was told by Tenshibo (in not as many words) that I have no place on the forums. So I left.

I decided to stand up for something I hate. Bullying, cyber bullying, harassment, etc. Tenshibo is guilty in my opinion of cyber harassment. What started off as according to him, fun, turned into unpleasantries. Not just for me or for the people he called names, but for many other players as well. I am not alone in this. Now Tenshibo will say it was all tongue in the cheek and in the name of fun, but for who? Is it fun to be called derogative names over and over again? I don't think so. The only people it was fun for was the people calling the shots. Not just Tenshibo, but a few others who followed suit.

Now you will also say but it is only a game, chill out. No, I won't. The game is eRep. The forum is a social get together for people with the same interest namely eRep. On there we organise RL meets, talk about RL stuff as well as game stuff. The forum is not a game. That is where friendships are made, not in eRep. Saying it is just a game, you can then say Facebook is a game, Twitter is a game, etc. Well, it's not. People in RL have commited suicide because of 'fun' like this.

Using the ignore button is another option. Yes, you can use the ignore button, but then half the conversation does not make sense. It might work for some, but not for everyone. My ignore button was to leave the forum. My decision.

Now, there is also a misconception that I sided with Leon. People, for those of you who has access to the thread all this was started in, you will see that I was the very first person to comment on Leon's first post. I stated very clearly that I do not condone what Leon is trying to do. In fact, I said it was a mistake. I also said that I believed Tenshibo was wrong in what he was doing as well. So, I did not side with ANYONE!

I love eSA as much as the next player and will fight hand and tooth for her. I am a very passionate person. Someone said, and I think it might've been Fhaemita, if you can't stand the heat, then stay out of the kitchen. Well, I am cooling off. I can recognise my own flaws, and one of them is getting too involved. I left before I could do or say something that I might regret. I will come back, eventually. I just need to cool down. I do not expect Tenshibo to apologise for anything he did or say to me or anyone else (I did once, but not anymore), bacause it is beneath him. That is something only us mere mortals do. But I will say this to Tenshibo...
