Why give up regions? Why help allies and not defend your own regions?

The military tactics used by the US Government are improving. Unfortunately the current US Government lacks communication skills (beside many other skills) and they cannot explain the population why they should fight in regions from Canada instead of defending the homeland. I do not wonder that so many n00bs ask for president impeachment.

In the first days of the war it was all about tanking, the US commanders believed that they could outspend PEACE and that the 10.000 GOLD reserves used on tanking will win the war. Since the beginning of the war the eUSA spent more than 10.000 GOLD on military actions, weapons and tanking with no results, as the USA lost 9 regions up to now: Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Oregon, Nevada, North Dakota and Wyoming. Some will argue that 2 regions are now in Canada and they are not lost, but let’s face it. Those people cannot fight for the US, infrastructure (hospitals and defense systems) was destroyed completely, companies in those regions cannot sell their products in the USA, cannot hire people from the USA.

The first mistake was that USA and Canada did not identify key regions. Looking at the direction of the invasion Canada had one key region (Nova Scotia) while the US had 2 key regions (Alaska and Washington). What makes these key regions? They are the sole entry point for the enemy. If these regions would have been defended the offensive could have been stalled. You tried to focus on to many objectives in the same time. All attacked regions can be defended, it is not impossible; just you have to build a different type of army. This cannot be done overnight, but I hope you will learn from your mistakes.

Retreat in Idaho
The first sign of learning game mechanics was shown; when the USA retreated from Idaho and coupled with a retreat made by Canada you took over the initiative. It is very important to have the initiative. Canada attacked the key entry points: Alaska and Washington, while the USA attacked Manitoba. In the mean time 7 RWs have been started in PEACE countries. It was an expensive move as the price tag was 817.5 GOLD. This move was easily countered as PEACE retreated too, and launched a counter attack against Quebec in Canada and against the USA in Utah, Oregon and Montana paired with an RW in Manitoba.

Liberation of PEI
It was a nice move to liberate PEI in an RW but it was a complete waste as with the damage inflicted there the US could have saved either Utah, Oregon or Montana.

Defense of Quebec
Quebec was not a key region of Canada, the main fact while it had to be defended was that it had 500+ inhabitants and a Q4 hospital. Those people had a higher combined damage than all those living in the 9 US regions lost up to day. This is why it was more important to defend that region, then some deserted US region with a low quality hospital.

Defense of Manitoba while part of the USA
Manitoba was important because it was a key state in the further advance of Quebec. Due to some strange logic, neighboring regions and the map do not always have the same neighbors here in game. This meant that for going further west in Canada, PEACE needed to take this region from the US. In case of a US success France would have been stalled, and Canada could have launched a counter offensive. This is why it was more important then Nevada, Wyoming and North Dakota. Right now the US can block France without triggering the MPPs of France by attacking Quebec, but it would cost 200 GOLD and there would be no guarantee that France would not retreat just to attack Canada again.

The sacrifice of Nevada, North Dakota and Wyoming
It was another bold move, as with the attack of North Korea against Russia and Spain against France, both in original regions, triggering MPPs the USA and Canada hoped it would take back the initiative.
Maybe the USA will take back the initiative, if Russia will not retreat in front of North Korea, but the plan did not work for Canada. After winning over Manitoba from the USA, France has retreated from the battlefield against Spain and attacked Canada again.
In order to counter the move of France, Spain attacked again, this time in Aquitaine, a region with Q5 hospital, assuring that France will not retreat from this battle. Today the USA has a 10 minute window to attack Russia. This will be possible only if Russia will not give up the region sieged by North Korea, because if it does then it will attack a couple more US regions and your kid president would have to retreat from those battles just to gain initiative again.

Your military leaders are not as n00bs as it first seems, but they should learn to communicate their decision with the population.

We shall see what else they have prepared for US. I stay with all guns loaded to kick your ass!
