WHPR [Day 992] A New Administration and a New Set of Problems

Day 992, 14:12 Published in USA USA by James S. Brady Press Room

Note from Woxan: He has asked me to link to this article so that people don't panic while reading the slanderous one put out by the hacker.

Greetings America. Pardon us for not releasing this soon enough but if you have not heard, eRepublik has been attacked for the last few days by hackers, causing Hungary to be wiped by Romania among many other terrible, terrible events. That said, heed this warning;

DO NOT CLICK ON ADS NOR READ EVERY ARTICLE YOU SEE

That may be a lot to ask for (especially the last part) but unless you want a Polish hacker to be inside of your account and do things to you, follow this advice. Also, articles cannot have images in them as a counter-measure to the hacking thus no beautiful images created by Max Wallingbottom will be included. That said; our President would like to update you a bit in our Daily Blurb.

“Sup America. I have been advised not to log in due to all the hackings but am still delegating and working to get things done. Surprisingly, it’s much more difficult considering all the circumstances, but regardless, I’m still trying to get things done. We discovered that in the New Citizen Message I proposed, a quotation mark was left out causing the message to be cut and this will be fixed on the next proposal. We’ve also ran into another bug with Poland and India since we can no longer trade with them due to the Resistance Wars in Karnataka and California. I’m sure this will be fixed soon. Stay safe America and I hope to have more news for you soon.
Love Krems”

Transitioning into a new administration is difficult and things move slowly for the first few days and with all this fun stuff happening, it may take a bit longer to fully update everyone with what is happening within the administration. But, we’ll try and update you with as much as we have done.

• The Economic Council (or EC) is nearly ready with Publius leading the charge along with other key economic minds within our country. If the EC gets a working server to work with the API (due to the API being full retard as well), they hope to have a tax model out by the end of the week.

• Greene12 has been working with the Department of Defense and has set up civilian mass attacks for 18:00 eRepublik time. A mass attack is when a group of citizens all attack at the same time. It is what makes the military/militias powerful in V2 and they work by using IRC and to access the IRC channel, click here. He also released an article here.

• Tom McDougal is working on creating a baby boom from possible websites by finding sites with communities that would possibly find this game entertaining and stay. If you believe you have a site worthy of his attention, PM him. Name is Tom McDougal, I repeat, Tom McDougal.

• A new idea of creating a Secretary of State and a Minister of Foreign Affairs was done by this administration with the SoS handling the bureaucracy behind dealing with Foreign Affairs while the MoFA goes out and discusses with other countries and acts as an official liaison between the President and other countries. It allows more mobility for both and reduces a lot of work for one person.

• The Department of the Interior or DoI has set goals for the department which you can see here but the DoI is also looking for citizens willing to help out in the DoI and have a job and help with the goals posted above. A citizen applies here, gets accepted if qualified, then do some stuff that betters America. Rainysunday (^-^) also has a job application for a wider range of jobs which you can apply for here. If you want to get started in the executive branch, start here.

Hopefully by tomorrow, the hackings will cease and eRepublik can return to its normal, buggy self without a person running the risk of being accessed without consent. Hopefully we will have more information/cool new stuff to update you with tomorrow but if not, I’m sure you understand.

Stay Classy San Diego
