A few days ago, the Admins hinted about new and exciting changes to the Political module to be implemented before our next Congressional elections. Considering the political module rarely has major changes, and the majority of previous changes have been minor, mechanical tweaks, people really didn’t know what to expect. Needless to say, the actual changes surprised almost everyone.

“The party president will choose the candidates on 24th of the month in the following manner:
- Every party can propose a maximum number of candidates equal to the maximum number of Congress seats in that country.
- Set up a national list (instead of a regional one) with all the candidates in the exact order the party president wants them in the Congress. This is very important because the chance to join the Congress is higher for the ones in the top of the list.
- If the party president does not decide the order on the 24th, the candidates will be on the list based on the rule “first come, first served”.
The Party president can only decide the priority order, but he cannot choose to have less official candidates than the maximum number of seats his country has.”
First off, this fundamentally changes almost every metagame construction of Congressional voting we’ve created.
The whole thing about voting as late as possible? Gone
Parties cooperating to keep bad people out of Congress? Mostly gone
Sniping? Gone
However, there are a few benefits out of this system, including;
Incredibly large need for blockers? Gone
Instead of placing (+/-)60 blockers in each party, we only have to have a reasonable barrier of priorities to prevent the "first come first served" mentality. For example, if a PTO’er were to go onto, say, the Federalist ballot, the Federalists would only need about 15 candidates to be 100% safe against that PTO’er. This is due to the fact that getting enough votes to acquire 15 candidates would be quite difficult from the Federalist point of view, when in the previous status quo, any random person could pose a threat.
Random people being elected in low vote States? Gone
We’ve all seen a race that pitted two great candidates against each other. The ones where you think to yourself, “Why’d it have to be these two? They’d both be great Congressmen.” And at the same time, you could look at some random State, with races pitting No-names vs Newbs, and think, "I really don’t think either of these people would be good Congressmen." One of the benefits of the new system is the fact that the highest priority people are always elected. This assumption, obviously, is based on the fact that the Party President is the best person to decide whether or not a person should be elected, which becomes harder as you get lower in the ranks of the priority list. Nevertheless, the top performers will almost always be re-elected, which is a strong point.
There are a lot of good things that come out of this change. However, there are a lot of bad things that also result from it. In my opinion, we’re not going to know how this really works until we see it in action. Until then, we have to rely on our last method of ATO, which is the subject of the next section of this WHPR.

The Nation needs your help.
The only methods way we can prevent against PTO’s in this election, and prevent PTO Congressmen from getting some citizenship approvals, lies in keeping enemy parties out of the Top 5. At the moment, the American Freedom Alliance is serving the role of PTO’er party of the moment. Don’t be fooled by the name, and just look at the list of people supporting it if you need proof of their intentions. The guy who currently owns the party has also allowed a ton of illegal citizens into the country over their few congressional terms.
The only way we can keep this party out of the Top 5 is to momentarily move people into the Federalist Party and iNCi.
This is an official government sanctioned ATO.
Move to one of these two parties until the 25th
You don’t need to stay there forever, nor do you need to vote for them, but going there for a short time will be incredibly helpful to the nation and it’s internal stability.

A few days ago, the Admins hinted about new and exciting changes to the Political module to be implemented before our next Congressional elections.
