Executive Producer and main host Jude Connors called in absent. None of the scheduled guests were in the chat room. We didn't have an agenda ready. It was suggested we skip it, or at least postpone the show a day.
Yeah, right, like that's gonna happen. Not on my watch, it ain't.
I thought we'd have to fill the time with listener calls. Very unpredictable, but with the hot topics of the day being so highly charged it could make for good radio. Wasn't much of a plan, but what the hell.
What ended up happening was President Oblige answering tough questions and responding to criticism regarding recent events and decisions he's made. David Wilson was very articulate and posed intelligent questions; Oblige responded quite candidly. I asked the President whether he wanted to continue for a full 45 minutes of this sort of thing, and he went for it.
We took a few calls, and asked the President a few questions as they were posted by listeners in the #eNPR IRC room. Toward the end of the initial time allotment, we took a call from Henry "Pfeiffer" Arundel, then extended the air time to a full hour to accommodate his... style.
As the one hour mark came and went, the discussion was in full swing, and only got hotter throughout the next hour of the aftershow (which is included in the Archived show), culminating in a certain host going ballistic on a certain guest.
You want to hear some of the questions everyone's been asking get asked and answered? What was the deal with that Order to vote last week? What's up with Bulgaria and Turkey and the alliances? What the heck happened with Chile and Argentina? What's the reasoning behind some of the decisions and actions our President has taken this past week? We put the President on the spot, grilled him under hot lights like a cheap B movie, and he took it.

A new player asked yesterday how we could own Castilla y Leon but not have the Iron Bonus. I explained about the direct path thing. This morning hardcore240 asks:
oh i see what u mean, but what about now? seems will still don't have galicia but the bonus is back. glitch mb? or i'm missing something else
Good question, huh? Any battle watchers out there, maybe got an answer for this fella?

The show was extended to an hour, then raged on another hour in the aftershow, which was dominated by Pfeiffer and culminated in one of the hosts losing his cool (guess which one).

Listening to the show, I am glad I missed out on the "I'm Pfeiffer and I am right" after-party.

The hard part is, sometimes Pfeiffer has a point but his deliver totally obscures it.
ok thanks for that. yeah it makes sense the map was just slow to update. when i looked this morning it def didn't show asturias, and i didn't notice the victory. should've realized. but anyway cool, i'm glad it's that simple haha
I call on all Americans to join me in demanding that Pfeiffer refute the widespread rumors that he has "I love Rolo T." tattooed on his left buttcheek by providing positive proof to the contrary. Such proof should be posted in the "open-door congress" section of the eCanada forums.
