Tomorrow is election day. I’ve been campaigning hard for nearly three full weeks, trying to impress upon you how genuine my intentions are.



I’ve got some warts in what I’ve proposed, during the course of this campaign I have come to realize that the people of eCanada have bigger issues with the Justice system than I had anticipated. That said, I am a realist about what I can accomplish in one term in office and I am not prepared to devote the necessary time and energy required to improve our justice system, even though I acknowledge it is in need of improvement. I am glad that Dade has emerged as the other horse in this two-race because he shares my belief that improvement is required. I fully intend to dedicate Dade, as my Vice-President, to championing the improvement of our justice system.



Dade and I both believe in investing in eCanada’s diamond industry, this issue shouldn’t be a decision maker for you.



Also, we both intend to hold the bond system to a higher moral standard. Although Dade does not intend to issue bonds, I do intend to issue a small lot of bonds, 500 gold to be exact. This issue really isn’t a decision maker either.



The key issue IMO is how we intend to end the eFrance war. Dade knows my plan to end the eFrance War and I know his.



I can assure you that Dade’s plan has a higher probability of closing out the eFrance war than mine. Vote for Dade if you want to place a safe bet on this issue.



My plan to end the eFrance war is exciting and full of potential to make a "frere", however it is riskier than Dade's and has a lower probability of success. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and I fully intend to make a venture. The payoff could be huge, building a relationship with eFrance where we become "freres".



It will involve battles, no less than 12, and even though eFrance doesn’t know it now, they are going to be totally kewl with permitting eCanada to keep Pays-de-la-Loire as a permanent symbol of the strong relationship between our two countries.



When pressed for an opinion, I am confident that Dade will back this up, I also expect him to say something like, “…but if it fails, eCanada will be in an even worse situation than now.” I think it is important for me to reveal that because its true and I wouldn’t want Dade to bite his tongue on this for fear of this being interpreted as “mud-slinging”. It wouldn't be mudslinging, it would be the truth, my plan to end the war could knock eCanada down a peg. That said, its high time that eCanada put some role play in its battles and not just in its politics.



Let’s be candid with ourselves, eCanada is a second class, maybe even third class nation in eRep. We do not have a lot of respect within EDEN and we do not have a reputation as a military power on the international stage. We can take the safe path and get back to business as usual, or we could reach for the brass ring.



We could dare to be ambitious, call in the favours of our allies, and “bring it” to eFrance. Show them how much moxy could be packed into a nation of 6,000 people. Then make them a diplomatic offer as daring as an Indiana Jones action sequence and as respectful as a goodbye letter from a six-time Prime Minister, an offer as transparent and as detailed as a certain Country President candidate. Succeeding in this will cement a “frère”, I am very confident about this, and it will resonate throughout eRepublik. eCanada will be reframed by all as the toughest pound-for-pound nation in eRep capable of negotiating its way out of a burning paper-bag.



The balance of our platforms share a lot of alignment and where they do differ, I do not believe the differences are “decision makers”. The key differences are the justice system and how to end the war.



Reach for the brass ring on June 5, go with your daddy’s battle plan and Dade’s judicial reforms.

Elect the man.

eCanada has used gold from eCanadian tax payers to fund foreign soldiers before. I've cut the cheques myself as MoF. Congress has approved the tank fund line item of every budget presented to them.

hb741: A late question - isn't a 21% tax a tax that is begging to be dodged via donation wage schemes.

Also is this fair considering that Addy's Opportunity companies already use such a schemes to minimize their taxes paid, thus dodging Addy's own additional 10% war tax?

My tax proposal and the opportunity to evade taxes are fair. Everyone has equal opportunity to "evade tax" so it is a fair practice. If you want to evade the tax, come and work for me, I'm always hiring and I give people the choice. There are other folks in eRep providing the same service, at least I'm transparent about it.

Many people think about things or talk about things or complain about things, but not everyone DOES things. I DO things. I get a lot of, "That's kewl Addyy, I was going to do that" and "You stole that idea from me" and "That's kewl but I would have done this, this and that differently. Usually I just nod. Not everyone can create, plan and manage. Conceiving of something is one thing, planning it out and bringing it to fruition is another.

TemujinBC: I have it on good authority that several Crimson FM's are willing to be funded for tanking missions. You wouldn't happen to know where they could get the gold for such an event, could you?

The way you are wording your question has me concerned, do you know anything about a pot of 2,600 gold?
