Today in “Who do you think you are?” a man who is Party President of the second largest political party in Israel. Has controversial ideas, is the “enfant terrible” of current politics but on the other side a mature guy with vision and guts.
He together with his brother, will throw and re-hustle Israel and its inhabitants.
I literally remember the day his brother and him starting in erep, and from that day its all “I Came, I Saw, I Conquered.
Israeli, please welcome Roni Rubin!

Please tell something about yourself, your RL age, what you like to do in your free time, outside eRepublik?

Im a 26 year old guy, in my free time I'm a geek 🙂 I read alot, spend allot of time online researching medical and science stuff mostly.

Alright, and how did you find this game, and where did you start of? Did you find Israel an interesting country or where there deeper motivations to be in eIsrael?

My brother gilad brought me to erepublik at first I didn't really understand what the game is about, but then I got hooked .
I started off in eisrael, being my country in rl, I think eisrael is great the only thing missing here is some more mature people.
I spent sometime in the eUSA, since the bonuses were bigger it helped me evolve in the game and invest in making me stronger, and then of course I came back here to help out in eIsrael.

Roni, you have been living abroad Israel for a while, what did you learn and what needs to be implemented in Israel?

Like I said eIsrael lacks mature players, kids are taking over, even in the government which is really disappointing. Most times you get the feeling that they don't know what they're doing, running this country, or worse they do nothing at all.
In the eUSA for example people are more united, not only parties also mu members. They communicate in a good way. I believe good communication is the only key that would open the door to success.

It is obvious you are marching ahead with the political party “The New Badass Elements” what are your ultimate goals politically seen?

The fist time I saw TNBE which by then was called the badass party I was impressed with the list of the members, among them were my friends in eisrael, people I got to know in Sayeret Matkal and who I trust. The party was ranked 4th and did not have enough seats in congress. I said to myself this has potential why not bring some more of those great people all together and try to create a new prospective in politics here. Since parties have a major roll now in the political model , it's essential to have one strong, united and mature party.
I also thought that the people in the party should be connected at all times, SPEAK to one another, make decisions together, agree and disagree, which brings us again to communication.
My goal for TNBE is to make it the a party that other parties can learn from! A party that has those carefully selected people who truly can make a change here.
And the road is long, but I think we're in the right direction moving quite fast.
If I get one more month leading those people I would come up with new ideas. For now we are the first party to have a Channel on irc, and an up to date wiki page, which I find very important.

Your reputation in eRepublik is one of, uhm…let me say, no-nonsense and sometimes even harsh. Do you share that opinion?

As for my reputation in erep…well people have mixed emotions towards that, some like me, some don't and some just don't really care.
I'm a straight ahead dude, who tells the truth like it is, in ones face, if I don't like something that someone does I would tell them, and explain why.
I don't agree with people or have neutral opinions about them or what they do, either I like it or I don't.
I don't care what they may think about me as long as I’m doing what I believe is best for all. But I wouldn't lie about it and I don't lick asses to get where I want, I work mine out actually.

You work your butt out? Is that a sexual thing?..….but I think everyone would agree that hard labor has been done by you.
Roni, tell me; your brothers unfortunate mistake of granting 2 CS without consulting the Minister of Immigration was widely published by him. His article was misplaced and out of proportion. Any last thoughts about the incident and article?

I’m not sure what happened there, from what gilad told me he did take to AG at some point and they sorted things out.
I was mentioned in that article as the person who puts his brother vPP after what he did and grant him on the list for congress (I was asked not to do this by kiochin and my respond was : do not interfere in my party's list), So he wrote that I was irresponsible and that I don’t care about the country.
I think my response was relevant since it is now my choice to make, and I do know gilad well enough to trust him, if there was a mistake it wont be done again.
I feel sorry for Kiochin that he seeks fame doing such articles, I think issues should be solved in pm’s or irc not in trashing articles, let alone that I did not deserve what was told about me. Again like I said; I don't care! Whoever knows me, knows that I do care about the country so let the dogs bark 🙂

Starting or lets say, reviving a political party is not something you do just for fun. Where you unhappy, displeased or fed-up with current political parties?

Yes, I was unsatisfied with political parties here. Starting with that one who is the pp and his multis in it; a whole party, the biggest party, actually has AA and 90% little multis of his, and that's sad, I don't see the point.
I wanted to show eisraelis that political parties go further then only the political part. They are social parties as well, like I said before, people communicating is the first and critical step. In Israel people join parties because they are large and the chance to get into congress is higher in a bigger party, but what about the principles that party follows what about the dynamic between members?
People are afraid to try new things, I've tried talking some friends about joining our party and I got answers like: "I don't know you, are a small party I'll stay where I am and we'll see in the future."

Also on that note, the selection of the congress list a party presents was based on unclear stuff in eisrael. I mean how do you chose who's on and who's not. In my party people who GAVE to the country (and I m not talking about gold donation), but energy and afford, people who have done something got a high spot. People who just talk allot are in a lower position. I think it's the right way to do it, Knesset needs those who can do, not those who just say they can.

The Rubin brothers are becoming a famous entity inside Israel, what can we expect from you two coming period?

The Rubin brothers we rule, what are you talking about? Hahaha!
No really, Gilad and I care the MOST about becoming strong soldiers and fight for israel, we spend real money on that purpose, we train allot, buy weapons etc..
The ambition is to be one day among those top fighters, and give it all in the name of Israel.
Adding to that my love for politics, I just like it more when everything falls in its place and they're is lot of room for that politically speaking in Israel.
I do believe the Rubin brothers can bring a lot of good to these causes, mostly because we truly care.

A question I ask everyone is, what in your experience makes a good President? Which characters are essential in your opinion?

A good cp is one who listens to the nation, tries to make a balance between what should be done and what the people want to be done.
A good cp doesn't run just to say he did, but puts it everything into it, gives all he can to make as many people happy.
If people are happy they will care more and they will give more, that's in the country’s best interest. Yet a cp shouldn’t be afraid to act on what he sees right even when not everyone agrees, as I said it's not an easy job to achieve this balance.

When are you going to run for Country President Roni?

Hahaha….me running for CP? I can’t say I haven’t thought about it, but since I've been around here for almost a year which I think is not enough to learn all. I still have to learn how to run a country, I still need to work hard to get there.
In real life and in erep I’m a very responsible person, I cant allow myself to rush into something I’m not sure i can do perfectly harming others on the way. So it will take some time, but once I feel ready to run for CP, then I will and I would devote myself for this great state.

Alright a returning question in this series is about the “Golden Moments”. What are your “Golden Moments” in eRepublik till so far?

My Golden moments in erep, the first was when I made it into Sayeret Matkal this amasing elite unit. I got to know many great people who helped me so much figuring things out, and who today make great friends in erep and still support me .
Another golden moment was recently when I was elected pp in TNBE, I do not take such thing for granted, people put their trust in me, they have expectations, that gets me motivated and very exited.

אנא ספר לי משהו עליך,מה גילך?מה אתה עושה בזמנך הפנוי?

אני בן 26 בזמן שאני לא באיריפ אני סוג של חנון,קורא המון חוקר באינטרנט מאמרים מדעיים ורפואיים לרוב.

איך התחלת את המשחק ואיפה התחלת? ישראל היית מדינה מעניינת או שהיה מוטבציה אחרת להיות בישאל?

אחי גלעד רובין הביא אותי למשחק,בהתחלה לא הבנתי מי נגד מי פה,אבל אחר כך התמכרתי.
התחלתי בישראל שזו גם המדינה שלי בחיים האמתיים.
ישראל נהדרת,הדבר היחיד שחסר פה זה יותר אנשים בוגרים.
עברתי לאמריקה לזמן מה הבונוסים שם יותר גדולים זה עזר לי להתפתח ולהתחזק ואז כמובן חזרתי לעזור לישראל.

רוני,חיית מחוץ לישראל לזמן מה,מה למדת?מה צריך להיות בישאל שאין לנו?

כמו שאמרתי חסר פה אנשים בוגרים
ילדים משתלטים על המדינה אפילו בממשלה שזה מאכזב.
לפעמים מתקבלת התחשוה שהם לא יודעים מה הם עושים בניהול המדינה או גרוע מזה לא עושים כלום בכלל.

בארצות הברית למשל אנשים יותר מאוחדים לא רק מפלגות גם יחידות צה"ל
הם מתקשרים בצורה טובה,אני מאמין שתקשורת טובה היא המפתח לדלת ההצלחה.

זה ברור שאתה מתקדם עם המפלגה שלך,מה הן המטרות האולטמטיביות?

בפעם הראשונה שראית את המפלגה התרשמתי מאוד מרשימת החברים בה,שם היו חברים שלי במשחק,אנשים שהיכרתי בסיירת מטכל שאני בוטח בהם.
המפלגה היתה מדורגת 4 ולא היה לה מספיק חברי קונגרס.
אמרתי לעצמי לדבר הזה יש פוטנציאל למה לא להביא עוד אנשים מוצלחים לכאן וליצור פורספקטיבה שונה למפלגות פוליטיות כאן.
מכיוון שכעת יש למפלגות כוח עצום במודל הפוליטי החדש זה חיוני מאוד שתהיה מפלגה חזקה מאוחדת ובוגרת.
אני גם חושב שאנשים במפלגה חייבים להיות מקושרים בכל זמן חייבים לדבר לקחת החלטות להסכים ולא להסכים אחד עם השני מה שמחזיר אותי שוב למילה תקשורת.
המטרה שלי במפלגה הזאת הוא לעשות אותה מפלגה לחיקוי,שאחרים ילמדו ממנה.
המפלגה שיש בה אנשים הנבחרים בקפדנות רבה,שיכולים באמת לחולל שינוי.

נכון שהדרך ארוכה אבל אנחנו בכיוון מתקדמים די מהר.
אם יהיה לי עוד חודש עם המפלגה אני אביא רעיונות נוספים,לעכשיו אנחנו המפלגה הראשונה שיש לה חדר בצ'אט ודף ויקי שמתעדכן.
בעיני זה מאוד חשוב.

השם שלך במשחק הוא...בוא נגיד לא שטויות ולפעמין אפילו קשה ,אתה מסכים עם זה?

לאנשים יש רגשות מעורבבים לגבי ולגבי מה שאני עושה,יש כאלה שאוהבים,יש שלא ויש שלא אכפת להם.
אני איש ישר שאומר את האמת כמו שהיא בפרצוף.
אם אני לא אוהב משהו שמישהו עושה אני אגיש לו ואסביר.
אני לא מלקק לנשים ואין לי דעות ניטרליות או שאני אוהב או שאני לא
אני לא אשקר לגבי הדעה שלי בשביל שמישהו יעזור לי במשהו,האמת שאני עובד קשה בשביל להגיד לאן שאני מגיע.

מה שקרה עם אחיך שאישר אזרחות בלי אישור של שר ההגירה והכתבה שהיתה על זה שהית די מוגזמת,מה דעתך ?

אני לא בדיוק הבנתי מה קרה שם גלעד סידר את העניין עם השר בהודעות פרטיות אני לא מבין למה הוא עשה על זה כתבה
אמרו עלי שאני לא אחראי בגלל שממתי את אחי בתור הסגן שלי במפלגה ולא רצו שאשים אותו בקונגרס,תגובתי היתה לא להתערב לי ברשימה מה שנראה לי רלוונטי. אני מכיר את אחי מספיק זמן בשביל לדעת שאם נפלה טעות היא לא תקרה שוב.
אני מצטער בשיל קיושן שמחפש תהילה מכתבות שמלכלכות על אחרים.
כמו שאמרתי לא ממש אכפת לי מה חושבים מי שמכיר אותי יודע יותר טוב אז..תנו לכלבים לנבוח 🙂

להקים או בוא נאמר להחיות מפלגה הוא לא משהו שעושים בשביל הכיף?אז מה הניע אותך?היית לא מרוצה מהמצב?

כן,הצורה שהתנהלו מפלגות לא סיפקה אותי.
המפלגה הגדולה ביותר בישראל היא של אריק אהרון ו90% מולטים שלו שזה עצוב כי אני לא מבין את הנקודה..

רציתי להראות לישראלים שמפלגות הן לא רק פוליטיקה אלה בפן הסוציאלי כמו שאמרתי זה קריטי שאנשים יתקשרו טוב בתוך מפלגגה
בישראל אנשים מצטרפים למפלגה גדולה בשביל סיכוי ותר טוב בבחירות אבל מה עם ערכים?מה עם דינמקיה בין חברי המפלגה?
אנשים מפחדים מדברים חדשים,כשנסיתי לשכנע כמה חברים להצטרף אלינו קיבלתי תשובות כמו: זה חדש אולי בעתיד או טוב לי איפה שאני אולי אחרי הבחירות.

בנוסף,הבחירה של רשימת הקונגרס במפלגות לא ברורה לי
איך בוחרים את האנשים,אצלנו האנשים שבאמת נתנו למדינה ואני לא מתכוון לתרומת זהב אלא מאמץ ואנרגיה קיבלו מקום גבוה,אלה שאוהבים לדבר קיבלו מקום נמוך ואני חושב שככה צריך להיות.

הכנסת צריכה את אלה שעושים לא את אלה שאומרים שהם יכולים לעשות.

האחים רובים הופכים לאישיות מוכרת במשחק..מה יש לצפות משניכם בעתיד?

האחים רובין שולטים על מה אתה מדבר בכלל? חח
באמת,גלעד ואני עובדים קשה בשביל להיות חזקים ולהילחםלמען ישראל אנחנו מתאמנים הרבה קונים נשקים ומוצאים כסף על הדברים האלה.

השאיפה היא להיות יום אחד ברשימה של הלוחנים החזקים ביותר ולתת הכל בשם ישראל.
תוסיף לזה את האהבה שלי לפוליטיקה,אני אוהב שכל החלקים נופלים למקומם ופה יש הרבה מקום לשיפור.

אני מאמין שהאחים רובין יכולים לעשות טוב לישראל כי אכפת לנו.

שאלה שאני שואל את כולם,מה לדעתך עושה נשיא טוב? מה התכונות שהוא חייב שיהיו לו?
נשיא טוב הוא אחד שיכול לעשות את האיזון .
אחד שמקשיב לעם מנסה לעמוד בבקשותיו ויחד עם זאת עושה הכל בשביל שהמצב יתנהל כראוי.

נשיא טוב לא רץ רק בשביל להגיד שהוא רץ,נותן את כולו בשביל לרצות כמה שיותר אנשים,אנשים מרוצים יותר עובדים יותר טוב נותנים יותר למען המדינה.
עם זאת נשיא טוב צריך לא לפחד לעשות צעדים שהוא רואה לנכונים אפילו אם לא כולם מסכימים.כמו שאמרתי זה לא קל לעשות את האיזון.

מתי אתה מתכוון לרוץ לנשיאות?

לא יכול להגיד שלא חשבתי על זה אבל בהתחשב בעובדה שאני כאן פחות משנה יש לי הרבה מאוד ללמוד בשביל לנהל מדינה.
כרגע זה גדול עלי.
אני לא אעשה משהו אם אני לא יודע שאעשה אותו במאה אחוז לכן אני אלמד מה שצריך וכשארגיש מוכן לבצע את העבודה הכי טוב רק אז אולי ארוץ.

רגעי הזהב שלי הם שנים
הראשון שנכנסתי לסיירת מטכל שם הכרתי אנשים נהדרים שעזרו ועוד עוזרים לי בכל מה שנדרש.

הרגע השני כשנבחרתי לראשות המפלגה אנשים נתנו בי את הבטחון שלהם,את אמונם,זה ריגש אותי ואיתגר אותי הצפיות שלהם ממני.
