Dear Israeli,

Although he really wanted to give an interview, it took him some time to answer all questions. He is a really busy man at this moment, but he opened a gap in his schedule to answer my questions.
Israel, I proudly welcome the former upcoming political talent, smart kid and overall talented Rickolas, our current Country President.

Please tell something about yourself, your RL age, what you like to do in your free time, outside eRepublik?

I'm 13 years old turning 14 in less then a month.
When I'm not playing eRepublik, something that doesn't happen a lot this month 😉; I'm playing basketball with my friends, or playing some video games on my PS3.

Alright, and how did you find this game, and where did you start of? Did you find Israel an interesting country or where there deeper motivations to be in eIsrael?

I found this game in the forums of another game, there were two people (which have already quited this game) which played it and were talking about it on forums, one day I decided I should try it. And after that day, it's all history.
I do think Israel is an interesting country, also most of my efriends play for this country. I myself am very motivated to help eIsrael in everyway I can, mostly because it's my home.

Omri, I’m sure everyone would like to know the answer to the question; what was your motivation to become Israel's Country President?

For a some time now I was feeling the administration of eIsrael isn't doing good enough, and since your term four months ago, eIsrael only went back.

That's why last month I have decided I'm the right man for this job, and I was ready to serve my country on the highest level. But the people of eIsrael had other plans, and I wasn't elected.

But I still felt like I can really lead this country well, and march it forward.
And because of that I ran again this month, this time I won and I'm very glad that the citizens of eIsrael have put their faith in me.

In which direction would you like eIsrael to develop coming months?

First and most importantly in my opinion; I want to see new people taking charge, and getting into leading roles in eIsrael. The fact the a one and a quarter year player like me, are our "oldies" that's just absurd!

I would also like to see a more active congress, full of mature, responsible and active citizens of eIsrael, a congress which communicates between itself and with the President and his cabinet. I'm going to start working very hard to make sure that will happen this month!

Another really important thing is getting more newcomers here, we are lacking active citizens, and have gone back to square one when we started the month, with below 900 citizens.
The MoI and me are working and will work even harder to change this situation.

Lets be honest, you had to learn a lot in a short time; about 6 or 7 months ago you were quite inexperienced as a player. What experience as CP was quite memorable for you till so far?

Well saying I was an inexperienced player would be wrong, maybe from you point of view as the one who accepted me to Sayert Matkal. But really, I started playing this game only 1 year and 3 month ago, I finished my eIDF "boot camp" in less then a week and was moved to eIDF Mahaz. Three maybe four months later I was appointed with HPT as the commander of eIDF Mahatz, was the commander for two or three months, until the eIDF was closed.
After that I worked as a supply distributer, ambassador to Bulgaria (when they still were EDEN) and vMoI for some time, and only then joined SM. So I wouldn't say inexperienced 😉

But to your question; My best memory as CP was seeing all of our core regions back in eIsraeli hands. That's for me the symbol of what me and my cabinet did and still doing, pulling eIsrael out of the deep mud it was in! did and are still doing*

A question I ask everyone is, what in your experience makes a good President? Which characters are essential?

Well I think that a president needs to first be a leader, after that he needs to be a hard worker, and an active player.
Defining what a leader is, is a tough task. Even though I'm going to try to do so. I believe a leader is someone who can encourage his followers and also his surrounding to follow him, and commit to his cause.
A leader must be able to get the maximum of each of the people that share the same cause with him, and get them to work "under the same flag" for a cause.

President, we all know about the unfortunate occupation of Israel by Turkey, but could you explain why it happened in the first place?

Both our president, and the Turkish president acted childish. Taunting and insulting each other, that with some Israel haters in the Turkish congress voted yes to the NE law.

But really I want to put that issue behind us, actually I have already did so.
Turkey has a new CP, who paid for mercs so we can free our regions, and paid us all our tax money back, our MPP cost, and some more money as compensation to the moral loss, and also to our citizens losses, because of the loss of bonuses and such.
So I can proudly say; the situation with eTurkey is good at the moment.

What would you like to see changed in Israel, if you had the power to make it happen overnight?

I would like to see more mature and hard working people, people which you can trust on to do the right decisions when they are need.
People that will work hard and take responsibility
People that can lead.

And also less people that doesn't answer to any of the things I wrote above, these kind of people tend to hurt eIsrael. Even if they only mean good.

Who are you role models and/or the players you respect the most?

I would say you (Joe Franco) and John TG.

When I first joined this game last summer, eIsrael was getting conquered by Iran. And I was seeing you and John tanking for Israel whenever you could, calling your friends overseas to help us win rounds again Iran. I have always looked up to you two when I was just a noob, honestly still am now.

You two have helped Israel so much over the time I was playing this game, if it was tanking, getting people to help us in battles, or representing eIsrael on the international level.

An obvious question would be if you are satisfied with the current eIDF?

I think we have come a long way since you first propose to reestablish the eIDF, this eIDF is very different from the one you have planned.
Is it better or worse? Only time can say. I believe it's better, and it's more adapted to the situation in which eIsrael is right now.
But there is always where to get better and improve the eIDF, after all it needs to serve both eIsrael, and the eIsraelis as best it can.

But for me, eIDF is my roots, that's where I started this game in eIDF Mahatz.
Personally not matter how the who will lead the eIDF or how it'll be, I'll always be happy it's there to serve eIsrael.

Do you see a lot of new political talent in our country at this point?

No, I certainly don't see enough young political talents in eIsrael at the moment.
There are some, but I would have loved to see more new guys take responsibility and starting to act. But I just don't see enough of them.

What's in contrast to that; I see more and more new people which are doing a great work, just not on the political things.

Alright Mr. president, could you share with us your “Golden Moment” in erepublik till so far?

I think I have two "Golden Moments" in this game.
First one is when I got accepted to Sayeret Matkal, it was the best feeling in the world getting an approval to the fact I'm one of the few people that can get into the elite group of Sayert Matkal.
That gave me a lot of confidence, and also give me the opportunity to meet the people I admired the most in eIsrael at the time, people like yourself OfirG and John.

My second "Golden Moment" would be when I won the Presidential Elections this month.
It was such a pleasure to win when people all around me told me I have no chance against someone like ArikAharon, and that after I lost a month before I have no chance, well I showed them big time 🙂
I do believe 100% that ArikAharon would have done more bad then good as president, that's another reason why I was that happy from that win, it ment eIsrael will not only have me as President, but also won't have ArikAharon as one.

אני בן 13, עוד 14 פחות מחודש.

כשאני לא משחק אירפאבליק, משהו שלא קורה הרבה בחודש הנוכחי, אני משחק כדורסל עם חברים, או משחק בסוני 3.

אוקי, איפה מצאת את המשחק, ובאיזו מדינה התחלת? האם מצאת את ישראל מדינה מעניינת?

מצאתי את המשחק הזה בפורום של משחק אחר, ישנם שני אנשים (שכבר פרשו מהמשחק) שדיברו על זה, ויום אחד החלטתי שאני רוצה לתת לזה נסיון. אחרי היום הזה, הכל היסטוריה.

אני חושב שישראל היא מדינה מעניינת, בנוסף, מרבית חברי משחקים עבור המדינה הזאתי.

אני מנסה לעזור ככל שאני יכול בכדי לעזור לישראל, במיוחד כי זהו הבית שלי.

עומרי, אינ בטוח שכולם ירצו לדעת תשובה לשאלה אחת. מה גרם לך לרוץ לנשיאות המדינה?

במשך זמן ממושך, הרגשתי שההנהגה הישראלית לא עושה את מה שנדרש ממנה. ומאז 4 חודשים אחורה, ישראל רק ירדה ברמתה.

זו הסיבה שהחלטתי לנסות לרוץ לנשיאות המדינה. לצערי, לאנשים היו תוכניות אחרות ולא נבחרתי.

אבל עדיין החלטתי שאני יכול לתרום ולעזור.

בחודש הזה רצתי שוב וזכיתי, ואני מאוד שמח שאזרחי ישראל בחרו בי כנשיאם.

באיזה כיון תרצה לראות את ישראל מתפתחת בחודשים הבאים?

ראשית, והכי חשוב לדעתי, ארצה לראות אנשים חדשים תופסים מקום ונכנסים לעמדות פיקודיות. העובדה ששחקן כמוני שמשחק רק שנה ורבע, הוא מה"וותיקים" היא אבסורדית.

ארצה לראות עוד שחקנים ישראלים בקונגרס, יותר בוגרים, אחראיים ופעילים. קונגרס עם תקשורת בינו לבין עצמו ובינו לבין הנשיא והקבינט.

אני הולך לנסות לעבוד על זה חזק מאוד כדי שהנושא יצליח!

עוד משהו מאוד חשוב, הוא להביא לישראל "עולים חדשים". אנחנו זקוקים להרבה אנשים חדשים, וירדנו החודש הזה מתחת ל900 אנשים.

אני ומשרד הפנים עובדים קשה מאוד כדי לשנות את המצב.

בוא נהיה כנים לרגע, למדת המון בזמן מאוד קצר. לפני בערך שישה או שבעה חודשים, היית שחקן לא מנוסה. בנוסף לזה, אני חייב לשאול אותך, מה היה הרגע הכי נזכר שלך מהכהונה הנוכחית?

טוב, לאמר שלא הייתי מנוסה תהיה עובדה שגוייה. אולי מנקודת המבט שלך כמי שאישר אותי לסיירת. אבל באמת, התחלתי לשחק את המשחק הזה לפני שנה ושלושה חודשים. סימתי את מחנה הטוראים של צה"ל בתוך פחות משבוע ועברתי ליחידת מח"ץ של צה"ל. שלושה או אולי ארבעה חודשים אחר כך, מונתי יחד עם הפועל פתח תקווה כמפקד יחידת מחץ. הייתי המפקד למשך שניים שלושה חודשים. עד שצה"ל נסגר. אחר כך הייתי מחלק אספקה, שגריר לבולגריה (כשהם עוד היו בעדן) וסגן שר הפנים לזמן מה. ורק אחר כך הצטרפתי לסיירת , אז לא הייתי קורא לזה בלתי מנוסה 🙂

אבל לשאלה שלך, לדעתי הזכרון הכי טוב שלי מהיותי נשיא הוא לראות את כל שטחי ישראל שוב ביידים ישראליות. זה היה רגע סמלי למה שאני והקבינט שלי עושים. להוציא את ישראל מהבוץ שהיא הייתה, עשו, ועדיין עושים.

שאלה שאני שואל את כולם, מה לדעתך מרכיב נשיא טוב?

אממ, אני חושב שנשיא טוב צריך להיות מנהיג. אחרי כך הוא צריך להיות חרוץ ושחקן פעיל. אני מאמין שמנהיג הוא מישהו שיכול לשכנע אחרים ללכת בדרך בה הוא בוחר. מנהיג חייב להוציא את המקסימום מכל אחד, ולהביא אותם למצב שהם עובדים ביחד למען מדינה חזקה יותר.

אדוני הנשיא, אני בטוח שכולנו יודעים על המקרה המצער עם טורקיה, תוכל להסביר מה קרה בשלבים הראשונים?

שני הנשיאים, גם הנשיא הישראלי וגם הנשיא הטורקי, התנהגו כמו ילדים קטנים. יחד עם עוד כמה שונאי ישראל, טורקיה הציעה הצעת אוייב טבעי שהתקבלה.

לטורקיה יש עכשיו נשיא חדש, ששילם עבור שכירי חרב למען ישראל, כדי לשחרר את השטחים שלנו. בנוסף הוא שילם את כל הכסף שאבד כתוצאה מהכיבוש, כולל מוראל שאבד.

אני יכול לאמר ללא חשש, שהנושא הזה מאחורינו ויש לנו דרך חדשה יחד עם טורקיה!

מה תרצה לראות שונה בישראל, אם היה לך הכוח לשנות משהו בלילה אחד, מה היית משנה?

הייתי רוצה לראות יותר עזרה הדדית בישראל, אנשים שאפשר לבטוח בהם לעשות את ההחלטות הנכונות. אנשים שאפשר לסמוך עליהם שיעשו עבודה נכונה, יעבדו קשה... אנשים, שיכולים להצעיד את ישראל קדימה!

בנוסף לזה, ארצה לראות פחות אנשים שלא מקיימים את התנאים למעלה, אנשים כאלו פוגעים בישראל. אפילו אם הם מתכוונים לטוב.

מי הם הדוגמאות שלך במשחק? את מי אתה מכבד יותר מכולם?

הייתי אומר שאותך (ג'ו פרנקו) ואת ג'ון טי ג'י.

כאשר הצטרפתי למשחק בקיץ שעבר, ישראל הייתה כבושה על ידי איראן. וראיתי אותך ואת ג'ון נלחמים עבור ישראל מתי שרק יכולתם. קוראים לחברים שלכם שיחצו אוקיינוסים כדי שיעזרו לנו לזכות בסיבובים נגד איראן.

הסתכלתי עליכם בעיניים גדולות כשעוד הייתי נוב, ואני עדיין עושה כך.

אתם עזרתם לישראל יותר מהזמן שאני משחק בו במשחק, בין אם בזירת הקרב, או תחת שולחן המשא ומתן.

שאלה קצת ברורה, אבל האם אתה מרוצה מהמתכונת הנוכחית של צה"ל?

אני חושב שהרחקנו לכת עם הצבא הלאומי, שעכשיו שונה מאוד מצה"ל שאותו הצענו בפגישות הראשונות.

האם זה יותר טוב או פחות טוב? רק הזמן יכול לדבר. אני מאמין שהוא יותר טוב, ויותר מותאם לסיטואציה שישראל נמצאת בה.

אבל עדיין, תמיד יש לאיפה להתקדם, אחרי הכל היחידה צריכה לשרת את ישראל ואת הישראלים בצורה הכי טובה שאפשר.

אבל עבורי, צה"ל הוא השורשים, איפה שהתחלתי את המשחק ביחידת מחץ.

באופן אישי, לא משנה מי מנהיג את צה"ל, או איך הוא יתקיים, אני תמיד אשמח להמשיך לשרת את ישראל.

האם אתה רואה כשרונות פוליטים חדשים בקהילה שלנו?

לא, לצערי אני לא רואה כשרונות חדשים בקהילה.

יש כמה, אבל אני רוצה לראות עוד ועוד אנשים מתחילים לקחת תפקידים. אני פשוט לא רואה מספיק.

מה שמוביל לזה שאני רואה יותר ויותר חדשים שעושים עבודה נהדרת, רק לא בתחום הפוליטי.

אוקי אדוני הנשיא, האם תוכל לחלוק איתנו את רגע הזהב שלך במשחק עד עתה?

לדעתי יש שני "רגעי זהב" כאלו.

הראשון הוא שהתקבלתי לסיירת מטכ"ל, זו הייתה הרגשה נהדרגת לקבל אישור שאני אחד מאותם אנשים שיכולים להכנס לקבוצה מצומצמת של הסיירת.

זה נתן לי המון בטחון, והזדמנות להכיר אנשים חדשים. כמו אופיר, ג'ון, ואתה כמובן.

רגע הזהב השני שלי, הוא שזכיתי בבחירות לנשיאות החודש.

זה היה כל כך משמח לראות שאנשים מסביבי אמרו שאין לי סיכוי נגד מישהו כמו אריקאהרון, ואחרי שהפסדתי חודש לפני לא היה לי סיכוי, אבל הראתי להם, והראתי להם בגדול.

אני מאמין במאה אחוז שאריקאהרון היה עושה יותר דברים רעים מטובים, וזו הסיבה שאני שמח מהנצחון הזה, לישראל לא רק היה אותי כנשיא, אלא לא היה לה את אלי כנשיא.
