EDITE😨 OCTOBER 4th 2010

This article originally asked the question "which country is the best to live in?"

We later decided that the information provided more accurately shows the survivability of the countries, and so we've renamed and edited this article to better pre-amble, you, the reader.

For this article survivability will be based on 2 things:

1. Food prices
2. Wages

Back to the drawing board for round two:

(September 29, 2010)

This week we will compare those statistics for each country to the highest wages available for new players (Apprentice Level). Using that information we will calculate a *Survival Index Number*
Survival Index Number = Wage / Food Price

Note: The larger this SIN is, the better the country is for new players. This can be a good indication of the overall economic situation in the country – however these numbers can also be misleading, where other skill levels wages are higher, and more expensive food items are relatively cheap for the value you receive. Take this into account while observing this data. We believe there is still value in these numbers, since they do give an informative view of at least one aspect of each economy.

Note 2: Wages and costs can change drastically on a daily basis. Because of this, we can only provide a short time cross section of the eRepublik world, and offer you whatever value that information holds.

Listed below are the lowest prices of quality foods in each country (converted into Irish Currency aka. IEP). This data was collected on September 29, 2010, and can also be found in the previous article of this series. Also the wage and “Survival Index Number” of each country.

Some very interesting information I think. We can see a definite correlation between population and the Survival Index. Countries with more population provide better platforms for new players. I predict that at other skill levels, these stats are similar. What do you think? Comments Below.

More on this subject to come later! Once again tell us which country you think is the best.
