Where is the best place to start a business?

Day 921, 20:28 Published in USA Australia by ndvanderhoofven

Ok, so you are thinking about starting a business. What type of business should it be and where should you start it?

Criteria 1: You don't want to spend too much money

Since you don't want to invest 90 gold to start a Q3 business, you should start in the gift, weapon or moving ticket industry.

Criteria 2: You don't want to pay very much in taxes.

The VAT tax comes directly out of your bottom line, so exclude any country with over 3% in VAT tax.

Criteria 3: You want to sell products that are in demand.

Since smaller countries have smaller markets, exclude any country with less than 2000 in population.

Applying these two criteria leaves us with: Bulgaria, Canada, China, Iran, Lithuania, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, UK, and USA.

Criteria 4: You want cheap labor.

Countries with high iron or diamond regions have higher labor costs, so exclude Canada, China, Russia, Serbia, and the USA.

Criteria 5: You don't want to have to compete with foreign manufacturers.

You want at least 7% import taxes. Now we are left with Bulgaria, Iran, Lithuania, Portugal, Turkey, and UK.

Criteria 6: You want higher-than-average prices.

You want retail prices that are higher than the midpoint globally. Out the the 18 industries left, the following qualify: Iran gift, Iran weapon, Bulgaria MT, Lithuania MT, UK MT.

Criteria 7: You want stable or declining inventories.

Rising inventories are a sign of future price declines. The Iranian industries have rising inventories. So out of these 5: Bulgaria MT, Lithuania MT, and UK MT.

Conclusion: I think a Moving Ticket company in Bulgaria, Lithuania, or the UK would be the best type of business to start. (And out of these 3, the UK has the highest retail prices). You would have low startup costs, cheap labor, low VAT taxes, and relatively high prices. (By the way, if you do this, make sure to import your own oil and not buy it off the local market). But wait, you say, aren't those all Phoenix countries? I personally don't think it matters as long as you don't own a weapons company. The Phoenix countries tend to have more protectionist trade policies. Why not benefit from their inefficiencies and use the profits for yourself?
